The long second hole, a par-4 which doglegs left to reach this raised green, measures 439 yards from the blue tees. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/05/2022

No. 4 at Tunxis White is a tight par-3, its green guarded by water and by Town Farm Road. Par is a very good score here. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/05/2022

It’s gorgeous scenery, but a watery grave will be the fate of golf balls falling well short of green eight. Ditto for misses long or left. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/05/2022

The peninsular green at ten overlooks the lake that borders parts of holes seven through twelve. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/05/2022

My path to green twelve was crossed today by two families of Canada geese. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/05/2022

A pond bisects the seventeenth fairway, and may tempt big hitters to fly it off the tee–if their desire is a wedged approach. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/05/2022

Among the premier holes at Tunxis White are those with greens set on mini-peninsulas. The par-4 seventh is the first you’ll encounter. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 11/21/2021

Eight. Par-3, 164. The second peninsular green may give some golfers jitters on the tee. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 11/21/2021

Ten. Par-4, 347. My favorite hole. A ‘simple’ drive-and-pitch hole to this green, water-guarded everywhere but in front. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 11/21/2021

Twelve. Par-4, 376. A masterful hole--maybe the course’s best--ending on a cleverly contoured green (upon another peninsula). Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 11/21/2021

Four. Par-3, 176. Overdraw your tee shot and your golf ball will be deep-sixed. That’s frost you see in the shadows. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 11/21/2021

painfully slow
The course is in nice shape. I wish Alliance would do as will with Oxford Greens. We had a group in front of us that was on their way to a 5+ hour round. Called pro-shop when we were on #10. They never sent a ranger. Fortunately we were finally able to play through.
Slow Play,,,No Rangers
The course is a gem; but there are people out there playing who should be on another course, like the Red.
Two slow groups ahead of us, pulling pins, not playing ready golf,,,no rangers to push them along. Friday round was 4:45,,,,good thing I didn't need to get to the airport. Shame of a wasted golf opportunity.
Played Green Course Instead
There was a tourney on the White Course so we played the Green course. It was phenomenal. Unreal weather. Perfect pace of play. Tee boxes, fairways and greens in good shape. Great value too. Would absolutely play here again
Good
White course played well. The fairways are in good shape. Some rough seemed like it had been neglected and the greens were a bit weedy. Would still be ok with playing again.
Windy Day
The course was in great shape for this early in the season. Traps were well manicured. The greens were fast but the brakes were hard to read for most of us, not many putts over 15 feet went in. We're going to try this same course next week to see if we learned anything.
One of my favorites
You’d think on April 20 golf courses would still be ‘getting ready’ for the season. Not at aTunxis, the White Course was in excellent condition which mean it’ll only get better. The White Course is truly one of my favorite courses around. Love the layout and openness. And the long par 5’s are absolutely challenging (for me anyway). The greens were near pristine. Great course, terrific value (GolfNow), can’t wait to play there again
Furst time at Tunxis
This was my first time playing at Tunxis and it was on a whim, but sure glad I did. I got there early to hit balls and putt, which I typically do to try and get the speed down before I head out. Everyone was super friendly and I got sent out early since there was a gap in sending folks out, but even being paired up in a twosome we didn't catch anyone until we got to 15. The tee boxes were well placed and level, the greens were fast and tough but well maintained, the fairways gave you some decent roll, and the rough was long and wet from dew and grabbed everything that went into it. It was a good test for me as I break in my new irons/driver. I will definitely be back to play there again!
No rush, it was happy to play with my friend
It was so nice spending time with my friends holiday morning.
Not clouded and pace of us.
Relax and great waking, good exercise for me.
Don’t waste your money
Course was in bad shape and charged $30 more than golf now showed
