the worst pace of play you could imagine. 2.5 hour round if your lucky - more like 3 hour round…friendly reminder this is 9 holes. backups cause golfer frustration and creates tension between other golf groups. won’t be coming back
Pace of play is typically painfully slow
If you are a decent golfer and prefer a reasonable pace of play, this course is not for you. There are a lot of beginners and youth that goof around, which is fine as long as they keep pace. However, the worst are the grown clowns that think they are good and hit into the groups ahead of them, having no clue or decorum. If you go early, beware of rude grounds keepers. If you are prepared for all of this, it's good value.
Thank you for taking the time to review our golf course. We apologize for any negative experiences you may have had while playing with groups who may not have been as experienced. We will do our best to ensure a more pleasant experience for our guests in the future.
cart paths
course is lovely--enjoy everything except the cart paths- they could use some work please
Pace of Play Brutally Slow
An hour and fifteen minutes for 2 of us to play 4 holes on a Sunday afternoon. We walked off. The 8-minute tee time intervals are way too short for this course. It's a relatively short course (leads to many waiting to tee off) with tight fairways (leads to lost balls, balls hit out of bounds, etc.). Combine all of that with a bunch of people who seem to have never before played golf choosing to play here and it leads to a 2.5-3 hour round on this 9-hole course.
Hi Taylor. We’re sorry your experience didn’t match your expectations. It was an uncommon instance and we’ll do better in the future.
Please feel free to reach out to us with any further comments, concerns, or suggestions you wish to share. We would love to make things right if you give us another chance.
Minnechaug May 23
Course was generally in very nice shape and greens rolled nicely. Traps could use some work. Eight and nine are just great holes for a 9 hole course. We will be back.
Have patience
Backlog of people moving slowly—I thought you had to have a cart due to the way the course is laid out but there were walkers and it was slow slow slow
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting Minnechaug Golf Course, and we hope to see you again in the future.

Ranger
The course was a nice fun layout. The ranger on duty while we played severely interfered with us on 2 of the 9 holes we played. On the second hole he drove his cart through the fairway less than 100 yards in front of us while we were hitting our balls. He then came upon us again on the 8th hole, speeding along the cart path between us and the hole while we were actively teeing off. It was a 120 yard par 3 across a water Hazzard. He and the grounds keeper that was with him, proceeded to stop and walk across the green to the hole before we could tee off. All while waiving at us and telling us to hit, while they stood at the back of the green.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We apologize for the negative experience you had with our ranger interfering with your game on two occasions. We appreciate your feedback and will address this with our staff to ensure it doesn't happen again in the future.
