1hr+ DELAY DUE TO MISMANAGEMENT
I’ve been coming to this course for 4-5 years now, short track but has some fun holes and it’s a decent walk. However, showed up today for a tee time and was told there was going to be at least an hour wait. The only reason to play here is because it’s the only twilight round that’s not $45 for an hour or two of evening golf, so naturally when I show up and my tee time is pushed back by an hour, it completely defeats the purpose of playing here. They did give me a refund for the round but that doesn’t cover the service fees on GolfNow, or the gas to drive there and back for nothing, or my time which was wasted. The course itself is usually in good shape but obviously needs some work enforcing pace of play or just general improvement in tee time management. Starters are entitled for god knows what reason. Any bum can send off foursomes 5 minutes apart from each other but only the starters at Oak Hills Park know how to do it in such a snide manner. Will probably still come back eventually cause it’s never been as bad as it was today and generally there’s no issues golfing here, and occasionally it’s even pleasant. But I’ll certainly have a bad taste in my mouth for a while after today considering nothing like this has ever happened at any of the other dozen courses in the area available to play. Would just recommend paying a little extra and going somewhere else if you’re not in the mood to get tugged around.
Good greens
The course is in good shape. The greens are in great shape. Fairways good also. The golf carts are annoying constantly cutting out
Lost my golf now teetime
They lost my GolfNow tee time.
Went over to Whitney Farms golf course much better experience and Round O’Golf.
Yeeeehaaaa you Flighty Stinking Good For Nothings !!
Hahahahahahahha!
Crazy carts
I understand that more courses are controlling where the carts can go, but they take it foo far,
Sometimes the carts slow down and even stop when you are on the car path. Very annoying
Oak Hills is a much improved place
Oak Hills has great bones and the greens are in excellent condition. The people are professional and really care about the experience you’re having. We had a weather delay, the course took a heavy rainfall and when we went back out to finish after a 90 minute delay, the course had drained beautifully. Kudos to the crew at Oak Hills.
Fun
Course is a little quirky in the layout but fun to play. Greens are smooth, roll true and good speed. The restaurant staff was friendly, pizza was good and prices reasonable.
Nice course
Course was nice, greens great. Unfortunately pace of place terribly slow for teeing off at 8:20 in the morning on a Thursday and no rangers helping with pace.
Did they realize we were customers?
This is a very nice course. Alex at the bag drop was pleasant and friendly and always has been. This being my 4th time playing here. The starter who should be working in a Motor Vehicle department position where people expect that type of attitude. He only wanted to read me the riot act of course rules. Did he realize we were paying customers? Then he says watch for cartpath only holes their are a few on the GPS .the cart will not go on the fairways. I had an 84 year old friend who struggled with only 2 holes out of 18 that were not cartpath!! To top it off.The course was as dry as a bone.. I couldn't find one hole that had any wet areas period!! I'll skip place. We played with 2 nice guys who were used to the course. Nice course with a starter that doesn't belong. 2nd or 3rd time he acted like that. So I know it's a regular thing
