The third, a dogleg left of 376, typifies most of the holes on this course: not long, but challenging in other ways. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/13/2022

Seven ( # 3 index) seems like one of the best par-4’s in Connecticut. This photo doesn’t reveal just how tough it is to make a par here. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/13/2022

The fourteenth green, at 560 yards, will take two Herculean shots to reach in two, but anything less may find its way into the small brook before it. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/22/2020

Disappointing Conditions
Norwich has a good variety of holes which usually makes it an interesting track. Greens feature undulation & usually roll well. Despite the wet & cool summer the course is in relatively poor condition at the moment. Many of the greens had fringe or surrounding rough suffering from rot / disease/ burn out / unkept areas. The rough was spotty on many holes with conditions ranging from bare compacted dirt to short grass to thick crab grass. Greens featured many unrepaired pitch marks, bunkers were thin with many small rocks. Mid day watering of the greens interrupted play making an already slow round unbearable at times. Overall very disappointing conditions.
Well kept greens and beautiful lay out
I enjoyed the course layout and overall presentation of course, greens were well kept , as well as the amenities on site. Course layout is beautiful and be sure too catch a sunset on the 17th hole !
Pass of play still haunts this course.
Lack of rangers continues to be a problem at Norwich. Painful long rounds as several slow groups hold the rest of the patrons hostage with no one pushing them forward.
Course is in good shape, very good restaurant over looking 3rd fairway.
Best value in Connecticut
Great course. Easy to get to. The course is in great shape.
Play here
Amazing course!
Love the design and layout and each hole is a new fun challenge. Great course and love the spot where the snack shack is. Hahah will be back for sure
Mid week bargain
Played on a wed at noon with $10 tee off reward each. Greens were inconsistent. Fairways were good. Pace was a little slow (4:20). Very hot day, could have had more water on the course.
Very good conditioned course. I was playing solo and the pace of play was a bit on the slow side, but expected when playing behind a couple of 3/4 person groups. Other than that it was very nice course to play. A cart was very usefull as there are a lot of slopes and hills.
Nice public option
Had a great day at Norwich. Course is challenging and well laid out. As a first timer, you will find some blind shots that will potentially get you in trouble. Wasn’t real happy with the type of sand in the bunkers. Lots of bare spots around, but most of the time they shouldn’t come in to play. Greens were rolling nicely. Overall a great day at a fair price. But one waning…. It’s a very tough course to walk, and unless you are in really good shape, or have a remote cart and want to take a nice, hilly walk, I’d recommend going for a ride.
No course ranger continues to allow poor pace of play. I called the pro shop to complain after seven holes and they still did nothing about it.
