A pleasant par-4 opener still presents a challenge: using the right club to get on in regulation. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/19/2021

The sixth hole at the White, a hard dogleg right, demands a tough uphill second shot to this plateau green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/19/2021

Green one at the Blue’s opening hole, a postcard worthy par-4, is set upon a hill and well defended. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/19/2021

Fourth hole, par-4, Blue. Simply an outstanding driving hole that doglegs to this green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/19/2021

The Blue’s reachable par-5 seventh can be a two-shooter for power hitters. The approach, though, must be laser-straight. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/19/2021

Closing hole, Blue: A classic par-4, finishing on this bunkered green, seen from right flank. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/19/2021

Second: Blue Nine, 377 par-4: The rolling fairway and small green combine to make a routine hole interesting. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/02/2021
-
Sixth, Blue, 201 par-3: This plays a bit longer than card’s yardage because it travels uphill. The green is small & contoured. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/02/2021
-
Eighth, Blue, 148 par-3: A plateau green and big bunker ensure that this three-par won’t be all that easy. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/02/2021
-
Sixth, Red: 331 par-4, dogleg right. Hit your drive in the proper spot and you’ll have a short club into this green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/02/2021
-
Seventh, Red, 180 par-3: Scenic hole with a well-protected green. Avoid the big dropoff to the right. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/02/2021
-
Eighth, Red, 396, par-4: A classic two-shotter that plays more like 420 (uphill, with a raised green). One of Elmridge’s best holes. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/02/2021

Drama: Hole five descends about four stories from its tee. A marshy pond guards a green set among dense woods. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 05/25/2021

The first: a big bunker hugs the fairway’s right side in the landing zone. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 05/25/2021

The second: Scenic views into the hills on this gentle dogleg-left. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 05/25/2021

The third may hinder your approach if you veer right: this impressive tree (an elm?) may play a role in what you score. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 05/25/2021

Six. The dogleg-left serves up a nice driving target. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 05/25/2021

Eight: Outstanding driving hole playing uphill to a green 400 yards out. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 05/25/2021

Five. A monster five-par of 591. The terrain dips and rolls all the way to the putting surface. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 05/15/2021

Hole three may be the best four-par on this nine; here is its green complex. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/18/2020

That’s actually a truck (it’s not a building) which is headed up I-95 in the background of this fine 3-par. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/18/2020

A good finisher, the ninth ends on this diminutive green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 10/18/2020
Great time
I had an awesome time the greens were well-kept and that pace was very fast
Testing course
Nice set up great pace of play shame my game did not match it
For such a year with the bugs and so dry course was in great shape
Nice beers and food in the clubhouse
Elmridge...Awesome!
Some of the best greens I've played this year. Big sale going on in the pro shop...3 golf shirts $25.00 bucks. 27 holes allows for an afternoon of golf at a relaxed pace...no waiting or pushing! Wonderful time...will be back again soon!
White & Blue Course
course was in good conditions, fairways recently moved. Ground seemed a little dry and hard pack.
Greens were hard and rolled fast.
Hello Everyone!
Hello everyone! My name is Chris Medeiros and I am the new Head Golf Professional here at Elmridge! I have read the reviews on here , and having just taken over the helm here in 2016, things are DRAMATICALLY changing here at Elmridge. New staff(Jim is still here!) , a newer, cleaner cart fleet, a course that is set up to the player and numerous projects(none of which will interrupt play) are ongoing! I have read each and every one of these reviews and agree with all of them! Would just like a moment to say that management has changed and so has the whole environment here!!!!! A new ,fully stocked Proshop, and a round of golf that will be worth EVERY PENNY, from the first tee to the 19th hole! Thanks for your time, and hope to see you soon! Chris Medeiros
Great course
Played on Halloween and of course there was and always will be leaves on the course but all the tee boxes where clear and so where the greens. I have played this course numerous times and is always a fun time and in great shape. Highly rated
Good Overall
The course was in pretty good condition. The staff was very friendly. Pace of play was OK as I was allowed to play through on multiple holes.
course needs some attention
I have played this course before. Weather was great, staff very helpful and accommodating. Some of the holes need some attention; a couple of the greens were in poor condition
Great Value for the Price
We golfed (two couples) as part of our Columbus Day weekend outing. Booked online and got a fantastic tee time and price. The course is wide open which made it easier to find the ball. The course could use some distance markers. Great pace of play. The staff was friendly and burgers delicious in the restaurant. Will be back next year!
Nice Par 3's
Played using the Golfing Magazine Certificate so it was only $30.00. A good value at that price point. Greens were in nice shape but very slow. Probably not cutting them due to the drought in CT. Fairways in nice shape but tee boxes were in need of maintenance. Speed of play was very good as we tee'd off at 7:30am and played in 3.5 hours. They have three 9's and we played the White/Red courses. Pretty nice layout especially Par 3's.
Course was good value on golf now.Would not pay regular price to play.Greens in bad shape with one temporary acouple more in bad shape.
Course was good value because of golf now.Would never pay regular price. One lost temporary green and about 3 other's in really bad shape. Thanks golf now.
Big Disappointment
Played here in June and wanted to play here again. Big mistake. Red course needs a lot of work. Good routing, no upkeep. White course was fine, but also in need of some work, tee boxes and greens especially. Totally different recommendation this time. Staff is pleasant, professional, and helpful, and deserve a better golf course. Maybe it's an early spring, late fall kind of golf course.
Great
Nice place to shoot a round great layout makes you think about your shots
Painfully mismanaged tee times
We played the front nine in under 2 hours. We made the turn and found 3 foursomes from a league waiting in front of us. After 4 hours of waiting on the back nine and playing six holes we gave up. Starter had no clue and did not care. She asked if we were Golf Now and then copped a huge attitude. Last time we will play there.
Straight fairways on the Red course
The Red course was beautifully groomed. The fairways were fast and the putting surface was totally smooth.
Beach Vacation Golf
I always wanted to play this course seeing it from the I95.
We arrived at the course around 830 am so we went in to pay and check out the clubhouse. The man assisting us was more interested in the tournament they had and how stressed out he was. He did though let us out earlier than our 9:36 am time. We actually played in 4 hours and was always 2 holes ahead of the next group. The course was old style golf with many doglegs and difficult par 3'a and long par 5's. Nice to play in the summer, and has a lot of potential , if greener in the fall. The cart paths need to be redone and the cart girl was polite.
Nice course
Fairways were in great shape but even if you're 5 feet off the fairways, the conditions were pretty bad. Ended up deciding to play preferred lie when not on the fairways because of conditions. Other than that, had a great time and moved right through without delay. (Started at 3 PM on a Friday.) Played as a two-some and finished in just under 4 hours, walked the first 9 and rode in cart for second 9.
Good Course
Very nice course and found a decent deal. The Pro Shop was very rude. Not friendly and welcoming at all. Luckily the starter was very friendly and nice. Nice course in very good condition. Will play again and hopefully there is someone else at the Pro Shop to take my money.
My best round of the season!
I started as a single, playing in back of a twosome, who were playing in back of a single. By the fourth hole, due to a slow playing foursome ahead of us we became a foursome. Being the septuagenarian of the foursome with two thirty somethings and one fifty year old I needed to raise my golfing level. I had three pars on each side and shot an 86. The course was in great shape, the greens were challenging, and luckily I didn't hit any sand traps! The temps were in the middle 80s with the dew point around 65 which was humid for me. I'd go back again to play Elmridge because it tested all of my humble game. It was fun!
