Many fairways at Portland plunge downward on their way to their greens. The first certainly exemplifies this, making for a tricky approach shot. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 11/25/2023

The second hole, on the other hand, moves directly upward from tee to green. Here is a look at the green complex at two. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 11/25/2023

The 10th: Short par-4 that can be driven, but that’s a hard risk-reward proposition given what lies behind the green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 11/21/2022

A commanding hole in the form of a Switchback, twelve is also aesthetically impressive. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 11/21/2022

Sixteen:one of the inward half’s two excellent par-5s; its green is fortified by a pair of yawning bunkers. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 11/21/2022

The eighteenth seems a tad subdued near sunset, but this hole is no pushover. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 11/21/2022

Downhill view to 1st green from about 100 yards; greenside pitch shots are challenging. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 05/23/2020

Classic green complex at 3rd, one of front's toughest holes (massive bunker is mainly hidden). Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 05/23/2020

Six: Possibly the most aesthetic hole here (great downhill view, as well, from tee box). Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 05/23/2020

Cornish prefers large bunkers here, often well visible from fairways. This is a brutal uphill 4-par. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 05/23/2020

...Followed by the difficult eighth, where you'll likely need to fly the ball onto the putting surface. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 05/23/2020

The closer: A short par-4, yet four gaping bunkers (all hidden from view here) threaten from tee-to-green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 05/23/2020

Great opportunities to use all the clubs in your bag
This course is filled with hills and valleys. Not an easy course for a novice player. We truly enjoyed it. We will play this course again
A great day on a fine course
Easy check in with friendly staff, offered nice course book. Our twosome was paired and we all enjoyed a great, well-paced round on this challenging up and down course with well maintained tee boxes, bunkers, fairways and greens. The greens were fast, with lots of break and variable depth and width. Holes 1 and 5 restricted carts to the paths, but that was no problem. This is a fantastic public course, definitely in top ten percentile. A great bargain on Golf Now. We'll be back! We did not visit the lounge.
Booked a foursome through golf now at a great price to go check out Portland golf course. Course had a good layout and great conditions . Pace
Of play was excellent as well. It was a great outing and we will be back
This coarse is in great shape
Coarse is in great shape, sandy traps, fast greens , well maintained. Outdoor grill after hole 18 was nice.
a hidden gem
played this course for the second time in 4 years. Great condition, both fairways and greens. Greens had slope on all of them, large and VERY fast
Always Top Notch
I've played this course many times and have never been disappointed. It was in excellent condition as always.
Great layout.
Greens are in good shape, run fast. Love the layout, no easy holes. Pace slow,
Nice course
Very far from home.... but nice trek. Great condition. Tight layout
Nice but slow
Great course and views, but pace of play was not good.
This course is a great value
From the tee boxes to the greens this course is in great shape. This course offers a challenge with blind tee shots. Dollar for dollar one of the better courses to play in the area.
Portland Golf Course
Overall, the course was in great condition. The carts were on the slow side, but other than that, the course was in great shape. The font 9 moved a lot quicker than the back 9, so it was an average paced round.
