3rd: par-4, 430. This Cape design tempts you to take the shortest route down the fairway toward the green (on left). Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/07/2021

7th, par-3, 220. A well-guarded and contoured green; a pleasant backdrop. Seen here from its left flank. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/07/2021

8th: par-4, 352. Green complex at this short and steeply downhill hole--made perilous by a pond. Eagle potential, however. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/07/2021

The par-4 14th, 447. Long, beautiful, and possibly deadly. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/07/2021

Sixteen is another excellent, long par-4 concluding on this green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/07/2021

18th, par-5 of 588. The signature hole? I’ll go for that. Great bunkering from Mungeam. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/07/2021

Great day for mid Feb
The course was in great shape, for mid-February.
You cant find a better place to play in the area. well maintained and a great experience.
put it on your TO DO list
Great Day
Any day on the course but 59 degrees & sunny in Early February is outstanding!!
Except for a few wet areas, the course was is beautiful shape - no puddles. All the greens were firm and rolling smoothly. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience any time of the year!
Hidden Gem
An absolute must play course in CT, great value, always in great shape
Great in late Fall
Down in CT for a business trip, was able to play 18 holes in under 2:45, the course was in great shape and the greens were fast from what I was used to, but rolled true. A great option and cost effective with deals. Friendly staff as well and they said they stay open all winter.
Must try
Immaculate course. Free range balls. Chip&putt areas. Slow play from 3 groups ahead of us, but they only played 9. Smooth sailing after that.
Highly recommended checking out CT National. Course is always in fantastic shape. Challenging but open course. One of the best if not the best in the area.
You are a fool, not to play this course
So let me start off by saying I play a lot of golf, split between Tampa, Florida and Connecticut. And like the title says you are a fool not to play this course when we got there everybody was super friendly in the pro shop. We checked in seem like the course was a little light and play maybe due to the weather the ranger super friendly and let us go out just me and my wife about 20 minutes earlier than tee time. The course is in immaculate shape, and you can see how passionate, everyone including the grounds keepers are about keeping the course at its finest. The attention to detail is as good and if not better than my semi private courses in Florida and a lot of the private courses, I’ve played both in Florida, and Connecticut you saw the grounds crew working on many holes Cutting blowing the shavings off the fairway filling up divots on the tea boxes. Just really impressive to see how well-maintained the course is.
The course itself please really well. It has a little links field to the front nine wide enough to miss a shot, but not too wide enough to just get up and bomb it and feel like you’re still have a shot after a bad mess. The elevations are great and there are enough to make you think if you have the right club in your hand but not too much to feel like it can’t get there. The greens are a little slow, but totally expected given the amount of rain that we’ve had over the last three or four days but they ran true and very little divot marks on them. For the money can’t go wrong. I’ve played courses three times the price and this course is every bit worth it do yourself a favor. Take the drive no matter if it’s two hours each way and play this course. It is definitely a course that my wife and I will play on a consistent basis while we’re staying up in Connecticut for the five months or so we’re here.
Just Play It
Excellently maintained course throughout that is challenging but fair. If you haven't, give it a shot.
Great all around challenge!
Greens are very fast on front not as fast on back. Fairways nice all around. In great shape for early in the year.
Golf Sauvage!
Bring your lunch. the rest is closed mon.

Best course at 50 dollars I've ever played.
For those who like to walk, this is the course for you!
