The tenth. From the tee, the view is beautiful. Serious concerns arise, though, when you veer left. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/03/2021

Two. Uphill four-par of 329. Birdie opportunity after two good shots. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/03/2021

Four; par-4. Short but lethal, with the mid-fairway tree putting a wrench into the works. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/03/2021

Seven: Today, in late spring, the hole’s beauty compensated a bit for its difficulties. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/03/2021

Twelve. Short par-3. I’m tempted to call this my favorite hole, along with my five other favorites. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/03/2021

Green eighteen. The end of an uphill 565-yard par-five. It’s easy to miss, even with wedge in hand. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/03/2021

3rd: Enjoyable, longer, open par-4 that still has OB-right and concludes on this green, backed by thick woods. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 05/29/2020
-
Seven: Short-but-tough 5-par that runs uphill (dogleg-left) and ends on this green amidst the woods. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 05/29/2020
-
Eight: From behind green at great tee-to green classic. A tiny green for a 150-170 yard blind, downhill approach; it also big bunker right and substantial fall-offs on its perimeter. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 05/29/2020
-
Fine Golden Age design: This green's frontal shelf rejects less-than-pure or off-line approaches, which travel uphill from nearly 200 yards. Pars are hard-won at nine. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 05/29/2020

Ten (behind green) The drive, a forced carry over a sizeable pond, precedes a less rigorous wedge into this rolling green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 05/29/2020

12: No picture can capture the elegance of the par-3 12th, but I tried. It looks a bit Augusta-like, save for the flattish terrain. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 05/29/2020

Pace of play very slow. We were booked after the men's morning league with a 9:36 tee time. We had to wait on every hole.
Suggest booking first public tee time at 10am or later on Sunday morning due to league play. Address listed on golfnow.com is incorrect.
This is always a fun course
Glad to have found a tee time from Golfnow that was accomodating our time as well as a fair price. It allowed us to play the course at what we felt was a reasonable price rather than what the course itself would have regularly charged us.
overall a good place
The greens need attention along with cart paths. plan on at least 4 1/2 hrs as it gets a lot of play
The course was in good shape. Will play there again.
Good shape, good pace and very easy to get to. Definitely will play there again.
Great Value for the discounted price on Golfnow.com
My son and I played on Sat at 2 pm. A tournament just finished. The course was 'roughed-up' a tad from the tourney guests. They need to police this more. Course was still in good shape. Bring insect repellent, mosquitos were bad. Had a quick (3 hr 15 min) round.
Staff is friendly and course was in great shape despite all the rain we've had.
Some holes are very unique. The course has doglegs', some water hazards and the par three's are makeable.
It has a natural, well kept appearance.
Terrible Tee Time
While the course was in great shape, the tee time we booked was placed in the middle of a shotgun start tournament., which are notoriously slow moving. On holes 7-8-9 when we caught up to the tourny groups, we watched 2 foursomes on each hole tee off, which took nearly an hour. Foreseeing a ridiculously long back 9, we asked for a raincheck, but the staff said because we booked through golfnow.com we were not allowed. I told them that it was poor practice to book tee times within a shotgun start tournament, but they blamed golfnow.com. We left furious about the situation.
course very well maintained excepy for sand traps which had rocks and very little sand.
We found the course well maintained and the staff cordial. The sand traps were hard surfaced with rocks. The traps could use more sand and the rocks raked out. The greens were exceptional and well maintained. Each hole offered a different perspective. The rate of play was slow.
Great value for the price
First time golfing in a few years, and this was my first course back. For the most part the course was in good condition. A few place here and there could use some love.
I would definitely recommend this course to any of my friends! Will play again soon!
Great Value for this Course
While reading this review please take into consideration I am a novice golfer who averages a score of 100 strokes for 18 holes. Most of my golf experience has been played around Southeastern Connecticut and Rhode Island, and I usually play once to twice a week if I'm lucky.
Pequot Golf Club is my favorite place to play when on a budget. The most one could spend on a round without a Golfnow.com deal is $46, and that is quite possibly the best value I have seen for a full round of golf in this area.
The course is more easy to moderately challenging offering bunkers, a few water hazards, a handful of dog legs, and decent elevation changes. The vast majority of the holes are fairly straight, so a bad drive or poorly struck second shot will not kill a hole.
The one issue with this course is the aesthetics. The cart paths are terrible, and the carts themselves are a bit tired. The course as a whole feels a little aged, and could benefit from a face lift, from the club house to the course itself. This time of year the course is in pretty good shape, but you can tell the hurricane this past winter caused some havoc, and there are a number of piles of wood stacked about from downed trees.
All in all I enjoy this course. For the money it is worth it, and even a terrible round of golf is better than a good day at work.
Good spring conditions
Course in good shape for spring, some places need seed and fertilizer. Overall not bad
Needs a little spring cleaning
Very narrow course challenging par 3's just needs a little clean up and raking of the traps
Well Kept Course, Pleasant to Play
Played Easter morning after the frost melted. Course was in great shape for being so early in the season. Most holes were open off the tee, fairways were wide. Greens were in great shape. Only weird part of the course is the "driving range". Can only hit 150yds or less and the driving range is right next to the 18th fairway, with a few trees separating them. Great value for the experience though.
This course is short
This course was playing less than 5000 yds with the temp tee box. Decent winter conditions with full greens.
NICE DAY IN DECEMBER
THE COURSE HAS SOME WIDE HOLES AND SOME NARROW HOLES. SOME OF THE FAIRWAYS HAVE LARGE ROCKS IN THEM. OVERALL FUN DAY!
Excellent course
Good service. Good green, nice fairway. The course is well maintained and not very difficult
Great shape for November
Played on course two weeks after Hurricane Sandy passed through. Course in great shape with a few trees across cart path areas. Some of the fairways are rough but greens played evenly. Overall good experience and value.
