Fairways need to be cut
Nice layout, could be a great course but fairways need a lot of work and greens were a little slow. Challenging with all the trees. Food was delicious
Good deal down at the Delaware Beaches.
This course is quite reasonable compared to the other over inflated courses in southern DE and OC, MD area. it was quite a deal. The course is very tough and has some teeth to it. 6400 yds from the white can be challenging. The greens rolled true. My only complaint is that there needs to be more definition between the fairway and rough.
First Time But Will Be Back
Nice layout. Friendly staff. Greens were in nice shape. However, a 4 some of members seemed to enjoy playing very slowly and holding up a 2 some and 3 some while ignoring cart signs so they could park their carts right next to the green.
Fall classic
Great conditions for early November could use a few leaf blowers to keep leaves off the fairways would play again great course layout good greens
One to play if you visit the beach.
Challenging course with great amenities. Will play here again! Love the greens.
Hope to get back
Given amount of rain previous days, course was well maintained and in very good condition.
I like this course
This course in great shape doesn't kill you if you just miss the fairway. A good course if you're not a very low handicapper.
Nice course near the beach
This course features well-guarded greens with bunkers lying in front of many. Several holes require straight tee shots with woods on either side of the fairway. There are a few water hazards, but not as many as at most resort courses. Overall a nice course. Bring your short game if you want to score well.
A Gem of a course in Sussex County
The course was in great shape. The weather was outstanding. It was a great day to be in Sussex County on a great course.
Course is player friend ( pretty open )
Course in good shape. Greens were slow..
need to be mowed. I would play course
again and again.
Great Day
Took a friend out for a round and was pleasantly surprised. Greens were in great shape along with fairways. Pace was excellent and very few people were playing for a Saturday. My friend was impressed and said he would like to play it again. Sussex Pines is a well hidden gem for lower, slower
Delaware.
nice course
course was in good shape. challenging layout, if you do not know the course, which we didn't. plenty of traps and water hazards on every hole. interestingly enough, we were pushed all day from a group of grandmas behind us. not slow at all, but constantly waiting for a group of men in front of us to move along. way to go ladies. kills that stereotype
great experience
well maintained friendly helpful staff. nice layout definitely plan to play again
Long Course
Traps were in poor condition. Like hitting off asphalt. Day after heavy rain and the course does not drain well.
Good course generally though. Challenging and narrow. Lots of trees. Would probably play again.
summer sizzle
This course was in pretty good shape considering the summer conditions and the lack of rain we've been experiencing. People were very friendly. The only glitch was that we were started on the back nine and when we came to the turn had to wait a long time for food from the pub.
This wasn't really a problem thought because we had the course to ourselves.
Great deal
Nice time!
Had a very nice day! Beautiful grounds, very well kept, challenging, especially around the greens... Meaning, lots of sand traps make for accurate wedges. Some bunkers were filled with water, other than that, nice experience. Beverage were a bit expensive in club house. Bartender was excellent tho!! Over all, great time!!
Greens were good
Course was wet. Many bunkers had standing water. Greens putted well.
Beautiful Day
Nice course , whites played 6400+ yards , made for long second shots but to very nice greens . At the price we paid it was an excellent deal . Heat and Humidity were high felt like I was home in SC playing a round . I played with my wife and her GF and they enjoyed the course from the red tees . I will be back next year . Thanks
Great value at the beach
Well run course with a nice layout. We were looking for a new place to play near Bethany Beach. Sussex Pines was a great choice.
Nice course
This is a fun course that wasn't really crowded. Of course it was 11am on a weekday but the price was right and my wife and I took 2 beginners out. Played 2 man scramble and both beginners thoroughly enjoyed their experience. Since it wasn't crowded there was no rushing. The green were not the fastest but was not it that bad a shape. Overall it was a great time.
