Recent round at Baywood Greens
One of the most beautiful courses in the area or anywhere for that matter, I always enjoy playing here. Great people, well run, typically superb service, and excellent practice facilities.
I will say that on this most recent round, (which was at twilight) Carts were not allowed on numerous fairways which really slowed up play. We were doing a two team scramble so we could finish before dark having had a 2:25 PM tee time. The course was relatively empty by 6:30 PM, we had a single walker in front of us who actually was holding US up on a couple of holes, and a twosome behind us that was not being held up in any way. Out of the blue, a ranger appeared and was scolding us for slow play (21 minutes behind). Now, I may be overly sensitive about this, but c'mon, it's 6:30 in the evening, we have 25 more minutes of playing time, we are scrambling to finish. Why did this guy come out scold us for slow play under these conditions? it's beyond me.
Perhaps, a GPS notification hit his Cart that our team was playing 21 minutes behind? So he had to do his job? The reality is, it was a very rude and uncalled for action he took, and it soiled our enthusiasm for the round. BTW, we did finish, so did the single, and the twosome behind us quit and went in after 16.
Baywood Greens - Magnificent
Most beautiful golf course in the mid Atlantic. Every hole offers a different challenge . Love the course.
one the best golf course in DE
I played here once over 15 years ago, never think come back because that time course condition was not like right now, it was a big change and beautiful ( I mean everything) green speed, fairway rolling, bunker excellent cushion feel, staff almost everything so great, I definitely will come back play soon with more friends.
Course is great shape not so much the staff
How can you have such a nice course but not a friendly person serving drinks on the course. Went out of this persons way to be very unprofessional. The rest was just a dream of a golf course!!
A truly exemplary golf course
This is the kind of course that you wonder “how on earth is this public? Why did they allow me out here?” I am an 8.5 hcp and shot 85 from the black tees (about 6,500 yards). I played with a buddy who is a 35 hcp. He played from the whites and shot 110. We were both able to enjoy our the beauty of the course and keep up with pace of play. If you’re on the fence, don’t think, just book it. Worth every cent.
Great Course
Outstanding course will book Tee time next time in the area. Well worth the cost
Beautiful course, with some challenging holes.
Course was well maintained and has some beautiful scenery. Holes were challenging and fun.
Amazing
Gorgeous course, we’ll maintained, and the flowers are ridiculous. The course is a fair test, large greens but fair. Traps in great condition which seems rare these days. Even twilight rates in season are a lot, we usually ply here offseason. Still a value for the money compared to what you get at lesser courses for the same money.
