Wonderful
Challenging layout, beautiful fairways, variety of holes. All add up to an amazing day on this course! A hidden gem!
A bit windy
A beautiful day, but the wind was relentless. Had a great time though.
Great golf course
Our group loved this course, it was challenging but a great round.
We will definitely be back when the greens are fully rolling after being aerated but that didn’t stop our enjoyment

Great day! Staff is wonderful. Played right through no waiting .
Worth tthe Drive
Nothing is overwhelming at this course but the balance between challenging holes and scoring holes is really good for players with moderate skill level. I wouldn't recommend it for beginners as there is a lot of water/marsh where you'll lose balls if you can't control it.
Course conditions are solid although a little more attention should be paid to the edges, but the greens were very good and quick for this time of year, which they have to be since the greens can be quite callenging. (Of course, the guy I played with today made EVERYTHING!)
If it hadn't been a strong, steady wind which wasn't forecast, I might have shot my best round ever. Tee boxes and fairways were in good shape. The course could also be marked better. But for the money it's a very fun course.
If playing for the first time, be sure to play with someone who knows the course because there are many blind hazards including water and some atypical routing as well. Especially watch out for holes 1, 2, 5, 7, 16 and 17. And always take at least one extra club on 15, and if ever against the wind add another club for each 10mph on every hole.
I have to drive an hour but its worth it since I always play and score well here and I expect other intermediate golfers will as well.
Strange layout on back. Looks like a former nine hole executive course. Had to shift tees as it was too short. Front nine legit.
Today disappointing
There was heavy rain 2 days before playing the course. Course did have a few spots with standing water, but the sand traps most had water in them. It looked like they did not attempt to reduce the water in the traps.
Overall
Play there often, close to home. Always friendly staff. Course is being improved despite some excess water in certain areas and traps.
JL is in great shape!
Played JL on Sunday a bit of wind but the course is in great shape!. Typically this time of year course are not in great shape but JL was great. Greens rolling pretty well and the fairways were lush. They have gotten new carts and done some nice improvements. Will head back there again.
Positive improvement
Played Jonathan Landing approximately 5 yrs ago and it was only 2.5 stars out of 5. Problem area throughout the course and was hesitant to come back. The day I made a comeback was one of the first warm days of the year and no courses had tee times. So I was able to book here and was just trying to get in a round. Just driving up to the course I could already see it was much improved. Tee boxes were grass filled but most do have a slight slope on them. That’s the one area that could be improved. Fairways and rough were in good shape and not many bald spot areas. Greens ran true but were definitely slow. If you are a long hitter the course can be a little easy even from the tips at about 6700 yards. Back 9 has some fun holes but very short. As for the pace of play, it was horrendous. Way overbooked and the round took 5.5 hrs. Glad this was my only option for the day because I will now come back.
