Jonathan's Landing Golf Course

We've played this course several times, dollar for value is amazing and the course was in great physical shape. Staff will always leave you wanting and customer service is awful. Don't expect anyone to cook lunch for you at the halfway house, don't expect the typical local friendly experience you'll receive anywhere else. We were called off the course for weather concerns and even after I explained my party of 7 was from New York and only visiting for the week, they couldn't offer me any type of rain check. Even after pleading my case they mentioned 9 hole rain check for the next 30 days. Considering the hotdeal is 14 all in and 29 typically, they'd rather nickel and dime over ten bucks instead of getting repeat business from my family. I can honestly say this is the perfect venue for beginning and amateur golfers, never a wait and never over populated but expect sand traps to constantly be flooded with water, rangers who will hover every other hole and the worst customer service experience in the region.

The grass tee driving range didn’t have grass. The course doesn’t have a starter or ranger and they overbooked tee times. Tried starting every 6 minutes. Too close of a window. There were 6 groups (24 golfers) on the first hole from green to the line at the tee.
The layout on the back also jammed us up. Starting with #10 short par 4, par 3, short par 4, par 3. So you’re constantly waiting for greens to clear and groups to play entire holes before the next group can tee off.

Wow, wind blowing 20mph, very cold.
Greens were veri-cut, but rolled. They were in very good shape and fast, Holes cut a few paces from edges. make it very tough to get close.

Had a great day! love the course, bunkers weren't raked but then again it is the last week of November. The greens were a little hairy but again it is the last week of November. All in all, it was a great cold and windy day!

We have played here 5 times now, when the greens are Not areate they are VERY FAST, areated still OK. You gave to play to a proper spot or your going to a difficult day.

The consistency of Johnathons Landing keeps us driving an hour to play a couple times a year. The fact we have been doing it 5-6 years now and the course is in the shape we have come to expect. 5 stars !!
We let a father and son go thru our group on 11 or 12. The had been behind us for a bit. After going thru is, dad decides to jet junior start to play. As a result, by the par 5 16th hole, the group in front of them were completely off the hole as the father and son just pulled away from the tee box . Turned us into 5 hours to play.

The first two holes are both part fives and you have to be aware of the water hazards in order to avoid a poor start The third hole is a short part four but it is not a payback for making it through the firs two difficult holes Instead of yo don’t hit it it straight it is probably the most difficult hole on the course except for hole 7 which is impossible to part unless you can hit your drive 250 in the middle The payback does come but not until you are on the back nine Keeping with theme st in the front there are also two consecutive par fives on the back numbers 16 and 17 but I find the back much easier than the front except for 13 which is any easy partr 3 unless you miss the green on your tee shot in which case your happy wit a five

Like staff & course but would really love me some sand in those things they are calling sand traps.Hitting rocks and dirt is hard to work with. Also, have never been deep raked or turned up to fluff the material for couple years so far.
