Very nice!
Course was in great shape. Narrow, but you can attack it with some placement shots. A few tee boxes were beat up but nothing terrible. Would definately play again soon!!
Play Soon
Nice layout in average muni condition. Worth playing at golfnow special rates or look elsewhere if they want the full boat not a good value for the money at standard rates. Greens are fast but beat up, you can tell they are just waiting for the end, even the proshop looks like they're ready to close the doors.
Do Golfnow!!!!!
At the golfnow discount rate this is a good value for the money not so much at peak rate. The greens where very good with the exception of numerous ballmarks. The bunker sand was inconsistant playable but very thin in places. We agreed we would play it again at the price paid. Check the Yardage and slope before making a tee box choice.
Food at the turn was excellent; decent grab and go sandwich, crackers, 16oz gatoraid and unsweetend tee for $8 with tip on a golfcourse...... can't beat it.
what happened
Brandywine always had one of the best greens in DE. Now they are TRASHED. Divots everywhere, burned spots and absolutely no sand in the bunkers. I payed $40 for twilight and that was still to much. I can't even imagine the disappointment of those poor people that paid $75 to play this course. It is obvious that Brandywine is in the (doors closing mode# even though they will still be open next year. Go play White Clay #Delaware Park) for the same price and trust me you will be playing a top notch golf course with an outstanding practice area and it is included with your green fees. I'm sorry to see Bandywine go and even worse to see how they let the course deteriorate.
Brandywine Country Club
The course was in average condition. It gets a lot of play and needs some attention.
It was fathers day and the course was over crowed.
The layout of the course is good. The greens are very fast.
Good pace of play and nice greens
I've played here twice and both times in less than 4.5 hours on Saturday. It is a nice country club style course.
Awesome
The course is amazing. It's a beautiful course to play very nice clean an well kept. Definitely want to go an play again there.
Nice track
Overall nice course. Clubhouse needs some updating, but since its been converted from totally private to now allowing public to play, I'm sure some updating will come.
Great selection in bar area. Grab and go sandwiches for $5, can't beat that.
The greens are cut extremely tight and don't seem to play as the look to the naked eye. So don't play as much slope as it may look.
Overall: 4.5 out of 5 I'd say for this course.
Only thing that was a negative was the direction to next tee boxes on a few holes...getting to 4th tee was not easy..haha
Great Course - Awesome Deal
We got a great deal on Golf Now for this course. I have played this before last year and was very pleased, and I was just as happy this time.
Course is very well maintained. Great condition for going into the summer. Highly recommend playing here.
good and close
Nice course
Pro shop was empty of any gear looks like they are going g to sell the land. too bad I could play this course on a regular basis.
Cut the grass
First time playing so I don't know if the rough is always this high, or they just haven't cut the grass. Hard to find balls because of high rough and clover. Shot placement critical or will be blocked out going forward. Priced a little high, but worth playing with Golf Now discount. Will have better idea on how to play this course, next time. Buy yardage book, for good info on course management.
Very Enjoyable
Nice course would play more often if it was a bit cheaper to play
Brandywine cc
Course is being let go - greens ok, rest of course is not being maintained - clover, lack of grass- it's over. Not even close to worth the money
Great course
This was the first time any of the three of us in our group had played this course. We all left saying we would be back. The course was in great shape. Due to the late spring, the leaves weren't out and the greens were dormant. The course was still in phenomenal shape.
The staff was extremely helpful and polite.
We can't wait to get back.
A Must play
Best course in the area. Don't waste your money elsewhere.
Brandywine Country Club Review
Tight fairways, very little room for error when playing from the tips. Course conditions were above average for this early in the season.
Nice course with nice pro shop employee
First time at Brandywine. Very nice course, reasonable priced. Must say the pro shop employee was a very friendly gentleman. Pay close attention
to where you should practice chipping and putting as I was scolded by an older gentleman for not knowing. Opps! Some people should get over the little things in life. Nice Boars Head Sandwiches in the pro shop at the turn. However, they are small, suggest going to a 8 or 10 inch roll rather than the very small 4 inch roll. Otherwise a nice hidden gem nestled in N. Wilmington. Will be back!
Nice Course
Nice Course. Great price. Would play here again. Pretty nice condition for early April.
Great value. Fun and challenging
Greens good for early in year. Plus good value. Location is convenient. Pace of play is usually good. Course has good mix of tough holes and easier ones.
Worth a look!
This was the first time we have played this course. The overall layout and play of the course was great! The course was easy to play and wide open. It is a good course for beginners and good players alike. There are some challenging water holes but we had a great time. The only issue and why I had a couple averages in the rating was because of the wetness of the course but that was due to heavy rain the prior days. It doesn't look like they have really good drainage on the course but on a nice day this would be rated a lot higher. Overall worth the look so give it a try and enjoy!
