Clinton Hill Golf Course has a classic, player-friendly layout that has been open to the public since 1970. The traditional design is gentle enough for beginners but there are still challenges in store for the more experienced golfer. The rolling fairways are lined with mature trees and the approach to the massive greens demands proper club selection. The greens are in good condition but they can be tricky and hard to read. Each nine has a distinct character and different set of challenges that will keep golfers on their toes. While the front nine is longer with numerous strategically placed bunkers, water hazards come into play on all but two holes on the back nine. In addition to having an enjoyable layout that appeals to a wide range of skill levels, Clinton Hill Golf Course is also a great value.

This course has great features
The course was in great shape and there were a lot of difficult holes. Made for an enjoyable afternoon.
Good course for the money.
Course was in good condition. The fairways were finally coming in and the greens were in reall good shape. Only one was bumpy, but they had lost that on last year during the drought and heat. The rough was VERY deep in spots, but they were cutting it at the time. My only beef is that there are many blind shots, making it almost impossible to find your ball if you hit into the rough. Overall a good course and fun to play.
Always a good time!
While the course had some areas affected by water (go figure with all the rain we've had,) the overall condition of the course was excellent and the staff are first rate! When this course is given a chance to dry out, it will be a premier course to play. I would gladly recommend and will play there again.
Good time
Always meet great people to play 18 with. Sunday was extremely slow, ranger warned us, but some of this was avoidable. Still, a great day, fairways brown, rough was green and thick. A lot of divot marks on greens because of inexperienced golfers on course, if you don't know the course etiquette, check with the clubhouse they can show you how to fix them. It helps with course maintenance. Surprised to see league closest to hole placards in the middle of greens also on Sunday. Will be back, great value....
This course is full of challenging holes. Super friendly staff.

This is my home course. While it is rough in a few spots, overall, its a fun course with a relaxed staff.
Love this course...but
Recently aireated and early in the season everything is brown. Putting not much fun.
The course has some challanging, but fun holes.
This was my first round with my son for the season and it proved to be a great day. We have played this course a few times. We like it for a few challenging holes and the setting near some nice homes. The challenges are from many blind shots and uneven lies. It was very well maintained for the winter we have had. With golfnow.com, we were able to enjoy a day of golf at a good price. Doesn't get better than this.
Too Far to REALLY be Worth It
If this course was a little closer, I would be more inclined to play there more often. It is just too far from the city.
It's a pretty average course. Layout is nice, and there are a couple holes that are pretty challenging.
The day I went it was rainy and nasty so I can't really complain about the condition too much. It's a good play if you live on the ILL side and need a cheap 18.
Good shape for this time of year.
The course was OK for this time of year. The greens were pretty good but fast. A great golfing experience for Mar.
Decent for the weather
I love this course its always kept up and even nice to play during the winter months.
Winter play!!!
It is March, which means the grass is brown. But, with a day that reached nearly 70 degrees, how could I pass up such a great day on the course. Two greens were being prepped for spring, so they were harsh to putt on. But, overall, the course looked and played well.
Decent shape for November
Course is definitely playable. A first for me was the movement of the flag stick on every hole they have 2 holes cut for the rest of the year so when you reach the green you have put the stick in the opposite hole for the next group and this is for everyone my opinion it causes extra walking traffic on the already delicate greens since the 2 holes are opposite ends of the green. Annoying
November Golf
Played here on a surprising warm day in November and the course was in pretty good shape. The Greens were in exceptional shape. The staff was helpful and laidback.
Enjoyable
For the price I booked my tee time, it was excellent. Course was pretty well maintained especially for this time of year. Good experience.
