University of Georgia Golf Course

One of the finer courses I have played in Georgia. Plenty of challenge and character! Beautiful layout! Always well cared for and the staff does a nice job. One of my favorites when I make it to the area.

This is a must play golf course if you get the chance great facilities great practice area great golf course if you get a tee time get there early enough to take advantage of them

The staff was very helpful. The course is in great condition. Get there about 45-60 minutes before tee time as they have a great range, chipping area and bunkers to practice in. The range is on property but best if you stop there first on the way in, hit balls then drive one minute to club house to check in and get the cart. Putting green near the first tee is very large and greens are very fast, large and true. There are five tee boxes so pick the correct one for your skill level.

Very challenging course. The course is in great shape, great greens, fairways and even the rough is well taken care of.

Always a treat playing UGA. Unfortunately, greens had just been punched and sanded, but staff offered a discounted rate for the inconvenience. Beautiful rolling hills and challenging course, always a pleasure to play.

The course is a real gem. Better than courses I have payed more than 2X to play. Back 9 had plenty of water. Front 9 a lot of blind tee shots. Greens ran true and quick. Not as fast as the greens I play in JAX but this is different grass. Greens are very challenging with multiple breaks. All golf skill levels should love this place. And, if you can get over the Dawgs on every tee box even Gators will find this course top shelf.

Amazing course and that offers a challenge that is enjoyable. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff! Can’t wait to play there again!

I went twice in a week and both times they wanted me to pay more than what it said I owed at the course. The first time I didn’t say anything but this time I did. I told them that I have never been asked to pay anything different than what it says I owe at any other course I have ever booked with this app. They took what it said I owed and didn’t argue but this is something that probably needs to be worked out at the course. Course was great, we had fun, and all was wonderful. I don’t want to act like this was some huge deterrent for me to come back just a heads up to the course to get this worked out.

- course is well maintained, you can see crew working hard
-tee boxes and fairways are well maintained
-my big complain is that it was so slow on a weekday. I can’t imagine on a weekend. As a result my round wasn’t enjoyable . Those professors must have been teaching on the course! or doing aerodynamic calculations on golf ball flight paths. The ranger was doing a good job putting people and scheduling rounds but did not appear to keep the rounds moving!

This course is what golf is all about. For the 3rd day of April, it was greener than other courses in the area, and the greens were heeling nicely from a recent aeration. What impressed me the most, though, was the layout. This is pure golf. This is what golf is supposed to be. The course is challenging, but fair. There are no wasted holes or wasted space. If you are a decent golfer and want to enjoy yourself, this course is a must-play if anywhere near Athens. Great value and really friendly staff.
