Great course, bring a GPS or range finder.
First time but not my last. It's obviously early spring and greens were just aerated but otherwise course was in great shape. Don't even think about walking. Course is hilly yet fair. Played 18 with another single in just below 3 hours. I'll be back when it greens up but the burmida is really not bad to hit off of when yellow.
Butternut
Live this course. It is beautiful, hilly with just enough water to make you place your shots well. Fairways are well groomed and greens are consistent, not too fast. Staff is very friendly and courteous. Only complaint is that there is usually no food as the grill is frequently closed.
Had a blast!
Great course! Well maintained and very friendly staff.
Enjoyable Course
This is a lovely golf course. The fairways are in remarkable condition. I started playing this course about 16 years ago. For several years I described the course as a cow pasture, but today I highly recommend it. The fairways and greens are in excellent condition. A lot of course beautification has taken place over the years, and today I highly recommend it. It's a really good golf experience and a good value at the price point.
Fun, challenging golf course with tons of character!
Played this while on vacation in Georgia with my wife, brother-in-law and sister-in-law. Unbelievable price for the challenge and layout of this course. My BIN and I are both single digit handicappers and we’re quite challenged with the elevation changes, firm and small greens and carries over water, ditches, etc. with some manicuring this would be an OUTSTANDING golf course. Staff was friendly and professional…highly recommend!
Hidden Gem
My wife and I signed up 18 today, and liked it so much we ended up playing 27 holes. Great alpine golf course, in excellent shape, and every single service person was kind and helpful. Can’t say enough.
Great Bargain! Beautiful scenery
For the cost of this place, its fantastic. Only 2-3 rough greens, and empty or unkept bunkers keep it from being 5 star rating - the green on 17 in particular was very rough. The pace was very slow, but we played midday on a gorgeous fall Saturday in the mountains, so it would be expected anywhere we went. The layout is very interesting and the views of the blue ridge mountains are spectacular. Some of the par 4's play very short so don't be afraid of the blue/gold tees. If I lived closer, I would gladly call this my home course. Definitely a hidden gem and we'll make it back up there whenever we have extra time.
