Solid Track For The Price
Weather was hot an muggy but the track was better than it's been in some time. Greens were a little slow but well cared for this time of season. Great place for the price.
Got Charged Twice
Hello, Just be aware you could get charged twice. I pre-paid on the golfnow app and was charged once I arrived for my tee time. That was a total of $74.67
Great Value
I really enjoyed the course. It’s one that you could score really well at with a little bit of course knowledge I could probably knock 5-6 strokes off my round if I played it again. The starter paired me up with a couple other guys- I prefer to play as a single but understand the need to combine. Pretty strict off the first tee but then no one monitoring pace up play throughout the remaining 17 holes, so pace of play was a struggle. Other than that, A+ experience and would definitely go back.
Great course, unfriendly staff
The course was in great shape and is awesome for the price, but the rangers were being completely unreasonable with their demands to move faster. Our group barely finished over the 4 hour time limit (maybe 10 minutes past), had no one pushing us behind us, and yet they came around 4-5 times telling us to hurry up. The staff alone would be the reason I don’t return.
Slow play
Players were stacked 3 deep on hole #3. Cut over to #10 and it was clear sailing.
Course was in good condition
Staff was friendly but also inconsistent when it came to tee off times. I was in a group of 3 and was paired with another person. Meanwhile the group ahead of us had 2 people and the group behind us had 1. Why would you pair a random person with a group of 3 people. It would be ok if the 2 parties before and after us had 4. But none of them did. I had to return my cart of which was paid for to sit with the random person. I've been paired with others plenty of times before. But this one just didn't seem logical. Nonetheless I enjoyed my times and always love this golf course. My review is not meant to sound like I'm angry, just confused with the inconsistencies.
Hidden gem
Beautiful course with rolling hills, impressive landscaping, dramatic elevation changes, and plenty of wildlife. It’s almost a nature preserve where they let you play golf. The course is on the shorter side but you have to hit the fairways to score well. For a shorter course it has very large greens that putt true even a few weeks after punching. I only wish I had found this course sooner. If you get a chance, play it!
Kids playground
The starter is a real nice guy. After that it went downhill fast. 2 groups were in front of me both twosomes with their girlfriends supposedly not playing. By the second hole there were 7 teenagers on the green all putting. I had some words with them and they said they were just friends that happened to meet up and it wouldn’t happen again. Every hole was backed up and the 2some just started hitting 4 and 5 balls each.
The ranger was there at the clubhouse. Not much help. They must give out a discount with student ID. All the reviews you read are true. Kids everywhere. I took my daughter out with me and we left after 9 holes. I couldn’t stand another second being out there. It sucks because the course overall could be enjoyable. Back 9 looked nice from what I saw as I got the out of there.
Have fun at the jump house.
A very nice round
We played as a twosome and joined another group and pace was good. Hot out there but course was fun. Greens could have been cut for more roll. We had fun
Good value
Woodland is nice. My only gripe I've ever had there is the rangers need to do more to address pace of play and unaccompanied minors who act the fool. I have been behind foursomes there a few times that take 3 hours per side because they are basically playing croquet and take more practice swings than Sergio Garcia to just duff it 12 yards sideways with no consideration for other golfers. I have also had multiple run ins with groups of teenagers who have far less patience for that and will hit into you and not care if they hit people including younger kids.
Why even have a Marshal?
We started off at first tee and from that pint forward we were waiting every hole for the group ahead of us. The group ahead of us was a foursome and we were a threesome. The marshal went passed them twice but pace of play never speed up. Not one water jug on the course. There were two water fountain one on the front nine and one on the back. Course upkeep was low. Several fairways were patchy and tee boxes were subpar.
