Best value & most improved!
Highly recommend, best I’ve seen the course in a long time.
The phone number is wrong on your site its 229-513-2161
very laid back atmosphere loved the layout gets most improved award!
This course has a lot of potential, and I feel the Owners are moving it in the right direction.
That being said, I have to be honest in my review.
Second hole is goose city, there are droppings and feather everywhere, but most especially the green. That aside the next issue is driving on the waterlogged fairways especially close to the greens.
Overall the greens were in good shape when the weather is taken into consideration.
Fairways and tee boxes are acceptable, again weather being considered.
Course layout is great with scoreable par 3’s and short par 4’s. The 6th and 18 tee shots are over water and extremely tight, adding a nice challenge for all golfers.
I have high hopes for the new owners, and staff.
I think I will give it a few weeks and play it again.
If I continue to see progress I will put this course into my course rotation.
I will update this review when I play the course again.
Georgia stop
not much of clubhouse, one person working, had to go out to range to get balls, others there parked carts on driving range tees, and along side of greens. The course layout was good, had some interesting holes, but I wouldn't go back.
I love this course!
Very challenging but well laid out course! Always a friendly and accommodating staff! This is a hidden jewel just off I-75. Well worth your visit!! I received a "Hot Deal" price of $10.00 + tax and process fee through GolfNow.com. Came under $15.00 a player. Can't beat that!!
It's better
We played the course years ago, when it was in excellent condition. We played it last year, when it was terrible. If they keep it up, it will be great again. The greens are A LOT better. The fairways are o.k. My only real complaint is the amount of neighborhood kids on lifted carts following you around the course after they crossed the eleventh fairway to and from Dairy Queen.
Wife and I
Wife and I played this course for the first time 10/16/16.we were well pleased with the course layout, the challenges it brings.
Good course to play for the money
Course In Poor Shape
This course was in poor shape. Greens were part grass, part dirt. Not worth playing a second time.
Needs a Lot of Work
This course is not in very good shape at all. Greens were terrible, fairways not too much better.
Recommend!
Highly recommend. Course was in great shape, staff was very friendly!!
This course has character!
I was able to get a great deal through the Golf Now app to play this course while on vacation to Lake Blackshear. I was not familiar with the course but for $10 per person for 18 holes and a cart I jumped on the deal. I could not have been happier with the condition and character of this course. The only negative thing I could say about the experience was the only food they carried at their snack bar was chips and candy. Other than that, I would recommend this course to anyone and I will be playing this course again someday.
Playing golf in GA
Very nice course but due to extreme amount of rain received lately, persons should have been advised to stay on the cart path. Most of the greens were soaked & some persons spun out in the softness & some did not observe the 90 degree rule. We'd play here again.
enjoyable
It was a nice golf course. The day was very windy. The course is fairly open so you make some mistakes. Yet, there is holes that require good shots to score well. The greens were in good shape and not too fast or too slow.
Geary overall
Course is very stretched out which extends play time. The one complaint is that they are tons of pin placements on each green that have left a ton of rings making the greens bumpy and horrible in places
crazy tough water par 5
Course was in good shape, greens rolled nice. Several holes force cart rides extensive time on community roads. Several challenging holes including par 5 that winds around a lake.
A Game of two Halves
The front nine are good and well designed, the back nine very challenging, esp. 12 and 18. This course runs pleasantly near houses and out into the woods, with variety and strategy required. There's underlying marshy ground, so the fairways, though true, provide little run. You can always go up a club.
A course for the thinkers among us...
PineHills CC
The overall course is nice, the greens were spongy and needed mowed. i Would like to see a better marking system for yardage while on the course it was hard to tell on quite a few wholes how far it was to.the pin.
Love the layout
First time playing this course. It is set in a nice neighborhood in South central Ga. It has a really nice layout with lots of natural challenges for the golfer of all levels. The course is mostly in pristine shape with the exception of a few greens.
Fun course that I will be back to play again soon.
Well worth the one hour drive
GolfNow had a really good deal for this course on a Sunday, so I decided to drive down and check it out. I definitely wasn't disappointed, and it will be a course I'll be bringing my friends to in the future.
What I REALLY liked was the wide open fairways. I've become accustomed to the narrow, tree-lined fairways of Middle Georgia, so this was a refreshing change. The fairways were immaculate, and the greens, despite a few with sand, were in decent shape, too. The course has some really short par 4s and 5s, which, in conjunction with the open fairways, is probably part of the reason I shot my best score here. It was not busy at all for an early Sunday afternoon, the staff was extremely friendly and asked if I was ____ as soon as I walked in the clubhouse. I'll definitely be coming back.
Nice course
Very nice golf course. We had the first tee time & played in less than 3 hours. Three of the greens were bad otherwise the course in good shape. Very friendly staff but not much merchandise to buy in the clubhouse. I will come back and play again.
