On the 14th tee. Kind of a blind drive over a hill. Fun hole. Photo submitted by u000006907181 on 06/28/2019

Not a bad value
The course condition was not good, but was passable.
They do not have a driving range.
The layout was OK in places, but there are at least several holes that are either extremely poorly thought out, or they had to find a way to force into the available real estate.
I would play there again if I could play for under $50, including taxes, and fees.
Excellent greens
For a fully public course, the greens are in amazing condition. They are way better than most of the semi private and private courses around the area. They’re way better than any public courses around. The fairways are in really nice shape. The only drawbacks with this course is a little bit of a funky layout. The golf cart paths are in pretty rough shape. It makes for a bumpy ride. And the pace of play is always to me a little bit slow. I think the the Rangers and the course Marshall can do a better job of moving people along. Little too much waiting. A little too much lollygagging with some of the golfers in front of you. There ar a lot younger people playing here so they don’t want to move on very fast. But the course conditions are really really nice for a public course.
Solid Local Course
I live near Country Land and love going up there for a solid round of golf. Course is pretty nice besides the tee-boxes needing some love. Greens look great and there are not too many hazards to navigate. Great place to work on short game and wedges in a live round.
Golf cart craziness
Some of the greens are still in bad shape made putting hard sine there are still grass not growing in spots on the greens. There has been some trouble with the golf carts that were assigned to us that did not want to go up the many hills on the course to the point of one of us having to get out of the cart and help by pulling on the cart to get up the hills. The latest problem wither the cart we had to switch on and off the cart several times just to get it to crank up and go.
Coolers
They do not provide cart coolers here, which is horrible during the summer. To make things worse they will not allow an outside cooler to be brought in. They made my buddy and I take our coolers back to the truck after hole one. Absolutely ridiculous.
Fun little course
I played here years ago plenty, but hadn’t been back until earlier this year when the greens were punched. Playing today though was a pleasant surprise - the greens were in FANTASTIC shape with the exception of hole 5 which is just a damaged green, has always been that way.
But seriously I was blown away by the quality of the greens because I’ve never seen them like that at this course before, terrific value for the money.
As for negatives, understand that many folks who play here are not low handicaps, so expect slow pace of play and plenty of people yelling “fore”. Amenities are also pretty poor with no driving range or putting green, and you’ll need to bring your own food. But having said that, it’s still a fun, short course with lots of scoring chances. Thumbs up!
Pro Tip - if you care a lot about pace of play, book as early a tee time as possible … usually a lower handicap crowd before 10 am
Sporty
Kind of a tricked up layout but has some good holes. Overall condition of course is pretty rough and pace of play slow on weekends. Glad I finally gave it a try
Rough Conditions
First time and played on a Saturday, so not critical of slower play. But the tee boxes were mostly sand, greens inconsistent, cart path worst I’ve ever seen so rough ride. The green on the 18th was great, but all the others out of sight were really bad. No clue where the fairway meets the rough. We’re visiting but would never play here again.
Not Well Maintained
The course layout was very interesting. Almost every hole was a blind tee shot with exception of the par 3’s. The greens and tee boxes were not maintained well. My son loved the course, but I prefer fewer blind tee shots and greens that are better maintained.
