Hickory Point Golf Course in Decatur is one of central Illinois' most popular courses. It has a player-friendly layout that appeals to a wide range of skill levels. The course features flat, wide fairways that make it ideal for beginners while the lengthy holes and blustery winds provide enough of a challenge for more advanced players. The par 4s are particularly long. There are some tricky holes, but you'll do well as long as you're able to keep the ball in the ample fairways. There are strategically placed bunkers coming into play as well as a few water hazards. You'll have to cross a creek on the 16th hole. Hickory Point G.C. also offers a lighted driving range and a six-hole course built specifically for beginning and youth golfers.

Does not favor women!!!
Great course but not an easy one for the average woman golfer. Several of the par four holes were extremely long!! None-the-less it is a nice course to play.
Great layout and condition
Great course and was in great condition. Love playing this course when in town
Good course. Would like to play in summer.
Played on a warm, windy day in March. The grass had not grown green yet and patchy spots of mus from all the snow this winter. Furry greens. Would like to play in the summer when the course fills in and greens improve.
Challenging yet a good time.
This course has some challenges but keeping the ball in the ample fairways is a must. My favorites are the par 5's. Some of the par 4's are 400+ yards so break out the big stick. This is an enjoyable well-designed course!
Love the course
We love the course and it is so close to home. The staff has done a great job in keeping the course looking great.
Excellent layout excellent greens
We had a great time at Hickory Point golf course. There were no delays or issues at tee off time. The country was well manicured. The greens were perfect. It would highly recommend this course.
Challenging but playable. Fairways, greens and bunkers in great condition. Excellent practice facility as well.
Played on a weekday. Course was wide open played in less than 3 and 1/2 hours. Greens were very true and rolled well. People at the course were very hospitable and accommodating. Practice facility has driving range, excellent putting green and a usable chipping and bunker green.

Hickory point golf course is a great course. Well maintained nice cart paths, nice carts. The greens were very nice. The fare ways are easy to hit on the front. The par fives play long but reachable in three. The par three are a fun some r long par threes. The back is a little tougher. There are some creeks to cross especially on 16. But overall great course.

Great Course
This course is challenging but is also very forgiving. Fairly open fairways that allow bad shots to still be played most of the time. Great conditioned course and nice staff.
