Fantastic golf course!
Absolutely great course! Beautiful condition! Greens were fabulous! Best golf carts we have ever ridden in with a fantastic GPS system. We will definitely play this course again very soon.
Could Be So Much Better
Played here a year ago and will return again. Very good course layout. Elevation changes create interest. Many tee shots require accuracy due to narrow landing areas ... challenging and fun! Greens in very good condition. Fairways & tee boxes good. Sand hazards poor, need to be turned over and loosened up. Grass height in roughs was inconsistent. Cart paths need work (many potholes), some new sections added since last year, so this may be on the mend. Nice views from most holes enhance the experience. "Smart" cart driver-control is very bothersome and distract from the round; slow down on steep slopes, really, gee thanks.
Improve sand, mowing of rough and get rid of cart driver-control for a 5 Star !
Beautiful
Loved the course. Cart paths a little rough, but course in excellent condition.
If you don't hit the fair way.your in bug trouble
There's a lot of ground under repair just off of every fairway.cart paths are in terrible condition.
Great place to play
This is a very nice course, on par with many CC I have played. Greens, fairways and tee boxes are all well maintained. The bunkers were wet due to a rain but I avoided all but one.
It is a hilly course with many photo ops.
I will return!!!!
Tough couse but some beautiful holes
Always fun to play but this time although booking on golf now says free golf balls that isn't true. The range is closed due to someone steeling all their range balls . Was not compensated for that either. Not many playing that morning but the one's who were played very slow. NO RANGERS helping with pace of play. Waited on every hole way too long. Had many frustrated golfers and tensions were high but we finally finished. Had people trying to pass us but nowhere to go.
Great course
Very challenging course, but enjoyable. Never boring, all the holes were different. Staff went out of their way to be helpful.
Great layout, challenging, but fair
Unfortunately when I played it had been extremely wet and pins were at the high point of the green, which were difficult to access. However, the course was very playable and a good layout with challenges on all par 3's, 4's and 5's whether short or long. There were at least 2 holes that you had to tee off through a narrow chute. It is very scenic and worth playing, especially for $30 on Golfnow and an 18 hole replay rate of $22. Make sure to pack extra balls as they are easy to lose on narrow fairways, blind shots and deep woods.
The only drawback was there was nothing to eat at the clubhouse as the restaurant was closed on Monday & Wednesday.
Tight course
Make sure to bring plenty of golf balls with you this course is very unforgiving if you travel off the fairway it's also very hilly and Level lies are hard to come bye
Mountain gem
My son and I play there often. He takes lessons from the pro, Mike McCall - second to none as a teacher. The course is a great test of target golf. Makes you use the hole bag. Views are awesome and the greens are perfect. Go and enjoy a great round!
Unbelievable value. Pace of play was an issue. I was in a twosome. We caught up with a foursome on the third hole and was behind them through 18. They never waved us through, never even acknowledged we were behind them. Was not the courses fault. Probably staying at the hotel. Most of course was in good shape, bunkers were terrible. Will play there again, mainly because of the value.
Beautiful Course
We live in Florida and make a yearly trip to N Georgia to play golf, this was our favorite course this year. The views and wild life was fantastic, the layout of course was great. Loved the par three that was very elevated, will be back next year to play again.
I love this course
I have been playing this course since the late 80's. I love this course and the challenges it presents to this flat lander from Florida. I have raised all three of my son's playing this course and we play it at least twice every year. Thank you for all the fun and memories. I hope there are many more to come. Ken Starling
Mountain views
Greens were excellent. Fairways are narrow with a lot of elevation changes. Mountain views on most holes . Two black bears walked by us on 12th tee box.
Good Day to be on the Course
The staff was very helpful and the course was in great shape. The elevation changes are an adequate defense and test of the course. I will be back
Tight and very scenic course...must hit the ball straight to score...fairways ok greens were excellent and rolled very true...will be back and highly recommend this course
Beauty and rough
This course is both an interesting beauty and an up and down ski slope. Good shape, great setting, very nice greens, but the lay of the land leaves a bit to be desired on more than,a couple holes. On some, holes my partner and I would stand on the tee box and say "really?". Very narrow slice of fairway with huge up and down. Also in addition to being narrow fairways, a ball hit just several yards off the fairway can hang on a 45 degree slope, due to heavy and clumpy ground cover. So, if you want to enjoy a day in the mountains AND be golfing at the same time you can enjoy your day. Just don't expect to play to your handicap on a consistent basis.Staff was extremely friendly, and helpful in working around the member outing.
