Course is very good and getting even better
Played on May 26, 2018 and the greens were perfect. The fairways are filling in well and they are actively working on the tee boxes. Latest management has improved everything about the course.
Headed in the wrong direction
Second time playing here and I gave it a great review the first time. Seems to be trending badly though. Most tee boxes were destroyed. Fairways were extremely dry and not being taken care of. 17 doesn’t have a fairway, it’s just a field. It’s funny because every house on that hole has lush green grass and the golf course is a field of weeds and crabgrass.
Greens were ok, no issues really but nothing to get excited about.
Course is ok but this far into the season, I had hoped for better the second time around.
Grass range is nice. Putting green is nice. Staff and bar are good as well.
Bare Minimum
If you enjoy paying $40-$50 for dirt tee box’s, random patches of dirt all across the fairways, and playing on the clumpiest roughs you can think of this place is for you! I drove an hour outside of the city thinking I’d get a better value for my dollar, I was very wrong…... I’m 90% sure the greenskeeper is just a collection of the neighborhood kids they pay below minimum wage to maintain the course when they’re not in school.
Great for the price.
I’ve played this course for years. It has been in better condition than it is now, but overall it is okay for the price, especially for an afternoon round.
Hidden gem
First time playing here. Loved it! For being early in the season, it was in great shape. Couple tee boxes needed some love but no biggie. Greens were punched but still playable. Practice green was big, range was grass, and clubhouse food after wasn’t bad at all.
My only complaint was the yardages in the cart were pretty far off. We learned to just stick to our range finders early on. No big deal.
Will definitely play again.
Good course
The carts were my biggest complaint before, but now they’re brand new with GPS and all. Course conditions were decent last couple times I played. Tee boxes could use some work and greens can be rough in spots. This is my regular place to play, but mainly because of price and distance. Range balls are junk.
Creekside outing
I have played here several times over the last 3 years. I could tell they’re really working on making improvements. Brand new carts with gps and shot tracking was very nice! Greens were in great shape for this time of the year. The staff was great and worked to keep pace moving excellent. We had a great time. Great value for the money. Played early on a Friday morning.
Course in decent shape, but slow pace of play
The course condition is pretty well maintained for a $40 round, but the pace took away from the experience. Had to wait 10+ minutes per hole that wasn’t a par 3. You expect the pace to be slower on a Saturday, but a round dragging out almost 5 hours is brutal no matter how you spin it. No marshal in sight aside from the first tee box to push the pace.
This course is likely a better bang for your Buck during the week, but I do not recommend a weekend round here.
This course is getting so much better
The cart upgrades along with fixing the cart paths has made a huge overall improvement on the course experience! The fairways and greens have come a long way and the tee boxes are getting better also
Slow and painful
Biggest issues I had were with pace of play and what felt to be a bit of discrimination from the starter. This was my 3rd time playing this course as a single on a weekend but the first time I’ve been held back from teeing off at the time I paid for due to being solo. Also the first time I’ve been told to go back in the clubhouse and be charged a fee for having a ride along with me in cart. The starter just seemed to be having a bad day (so I thought) until the next tee time finally arrived on the box. This group all happened to be the same ethnicity as the starter and got a completely different attitude/approach than I did.
Leaves in the fall are inevitable but from the look of things it seemed as if the grounds crew hadn’t touched a blower in 3+ days making almost every shot impossible to find (regardless if on fairway or not). Longer rounds are expected on the weekends but this round took 6 hours which is never acceptable in my opinion, especially for a “country club” that had at least 1-2 Marshall’s floating around.
Might be worth it if you’re looking for cheap golf with low expectations, but don’t plan for anything less than a 4.5/5 hour round.
I will not be returning this Creekside to play after this latest experience.
Good course
Good course. Greens are excellent. I played in November so there was leaves everywhere which made it difficult to find your ball in the fairway.
Hidden Beauty
We played this course for the 1st time and aside from needing some grass cutting in some areas and more grass on some of the Tee Boxes it was a nice course.
Basic Golf - Could Be Better
Creekside is basic golf. The range is adequate, but small, especially for longer clubs. And when you are forced to use the mats, it drops another level. As for the course, without a significant infusion of money, it will never be in the top tier, and any improvements could only do so much due to the quirky routing that I assume was a product of creating the course after the home lots were planned. But it would be nice to see what this course could become with just a modest investment in the course conditioning and leasing a new fleet of carts.
