Little sandy
Great course for the money during the week. Greens are very sandy which could make play difficult.
Terrible tee boxes
I don’t think I’ll ever be back. It use to be a nice course
Needs a grounds crew!
Don’t waste your money. All carts are in poor condition. This is due to the course lis in poor condition tearing up the carts. Last time playing.
Save your money
A returning player, I was looking forward to playing Creekside again after some time had passed. However, I was met with disappointment. While the pace of play was fair, mostly due to it being a midday weekday tee time, the course has seen better days. Tee boxes throughout the course are overgrown / appear unkept. Multiple fairways are washed out. If not washed out, they’re battling weed infestation. The rough and fringe appear to not have been tended to in weeks and were noticeably overgrown. While the greens were mostly in solid shape, those in the shaded areas were poorest. My advice, spent your money elsewhere.
All around bad
We used to play here often. Haven’t been in a while and won’t be going back. Carts were in horrible shape (jerked hard every time you’d hit the gas). Tee boxes were way too long with weeds everywhere. Overall grass was too long. So many “pot holes” to drive around. Not worth the money!!!
Great value, great people.
We only got to get 9 holes in. The weather decided to come early and turned the place into a wet mess. The 9 we were able to play were challenging, but enjoyable. Bartender was great, and the food and drinks hit the spot.
Don’t Recommend
Guys at the front desk were arrogant.
Shutdown the range on Sunday morning for maintenance?
All of the fairways were overgrown with dirt and sand everywhere.
Tee boxes were notorious.. maybe play from the reds?
0 outta 10
Staff and course is NOT golfer friendly
No drinking water stations and no beverage cart on a day with temps in the mid-90s. Should be illegal.
Course is in rough shape. No real grass in the fairways and the edges have multiple bare spots with rocks and roots. Greens are incredibly slow even though they were not shaggy. It was almost like the grass on the greens were sticky.
The overall message I took away was the staff and superintendent cared more about themselves than the paying patrons.
Does not cater to the needs of the summer weekday golfer
Checked in at the clubhouse at 10:45 for my 11am tee time. Was told I was paired up with another single. Got to the first tee and saw 4 golfers, no starter. One golfer teed off and then proceeded up the fairway. The other 3-some told me their tee time was 11:15. So, I drove on to meet up with my playing partner and figured I would play #1 at the end of my round. It was 90 deg F plus and there was not a single drinking water station anywhere on the course. And of course, no beverage cart. Brutal! Ought to be against the law, IMO. At very least, I should have been told there was no water and advised to bring drinks from the bar out on the course. I was told there weren’t drinking water stations on the course was because of COVID. Really? That was 3 years ago. Hasn’t that lame excuse had its run already?
The course was in very rough shape—lots of bare dirt (no grass) spots on the edges of the fairway and if the hole sloped to one side or the other, the ball ended up sitting on rocks and roots. The greens were unbelievably slow even though they weren’t shaggy. Even downhill, the ball didn’t roll out as one would expect. Even right down the middle of the fairway, the ball didn’t have any grass beneath it—very tight lies.
Late in the round, both of our drives were down the middle and we had ~100 to 120 yard approach shots. On the green was a kid from the grounds crew watering the hot green. He saw us but instead of suspending his watering to allow us to play the hole, he took 7-8 minutes (easy) to finish. When he was done and I hit my shot, I proceeded to the green to talk to him. When I said, “You know it’s customary to stop any groundskeeping or course maintenance to allow golfers to play through and then resume your work.” He copped an attitude with me and said “watering that green takes priority over the golfers play .” Are you kidding me?
The message Creekside Golf Course clearly sends to its patrons is “we don’t care much about your wellbeing or golf experience.”
When you have a course that isn’t finely manicured and maintained, one way you can make up for the course conditions is to be overly friendly and accommodating. That’s my two cents anyway.
I enjoy the course
The greens and tee boxes could use some work but I love the course
Overbooked
We booked a tee time for 9:30 and showed up to find out we couldn’t tee off until approximately 10. They had booked what they called a “geezer tournament.” So not only would we be pushed back 30 minutes but pace of play was expected to be slow. So we cancelled. If a course is going to have a tournament they should block those tee times so they are not available online. I enjoy playing the course every now and then but this shouldn’t happen.
