Hickory Hill Golf Course - Creekside/Roadside

This was my third time playing this course and I will never play it again. I read reviews about the rude man that works in the clubhouse but I thought it was no big deal. However, after playing 3 times, he is just too much to handle. He does not like GolfNow tee times (honestly there are no tee times, when you get there it is a free for all). If you are not one of the good ole boys, don't expect any kind of service/help whatsoever. One guy runs the proshop and snack bar so one time we waited 15 minutes to sign in while he had a conversation with one of his buddies in the snack bar.
As far as the course, there are 27 holes, which is nice at first...but you can start on any of the 3 9's which causes chaos at the turn. You can go from having a nice pace of play for 9 holes to waiting on every shot because other groups can just start in front of you. For example, we finished our first 9 one time and then were the 4th group off the tee to start our back 9. Front 9 took 90 minutes to play, back 9 took 2 hours and 45. Creekside is a nice layout. Fieldside is pretty basic but ok. Roadside is incredibly short. The greens are crunchy and bumpy, but I will give them a pass since it is winter.
I gave them a 1 star rating simply because of the man in the clubhouse. Without him I would say 4 stars...but yes, he makes that much of a difference.

I enjoy playing this course layout. They have three 9 hole courses, and they allow you to choose two of the three to play. The greens were rolling fast and crew.

My husband and I found this course due to a friend. We enjoyed playing 18 of the 27 holes.

Fairways could be clean better of sticks leaves and cut more but overall good course

The place is looking the best it has looked in years and the owner and staff are working hard at making it an enjoyable place to play.

Better courses for same money in Henry county. You get what you expect for a small town public course.

The course is great but the guy that runs it should never deal with the public. He's always got something negative to say or always has an issue with something. i don't think I have been in there one time and felt wanted to be there. This course is in great shape and the pace of play is great because of the 27 holes. So the course condition trumps that issue. Just get in and get out. Only other issue with this course is the snack bar. CASH ONLY! Who carries cash these days. He would rather inconvenience the customer than charge a CC swipe fee for the snack bar or charge a couple dimes more on everything and it covers the cost. Other than that the course is in great shape and worth playing over these issues.

This is a nice golf course the only thing it is further than I want to drive! Golf now NAV said 26 mi. my NAV said 30 mi.

For a municipal course this course is awesome very well kept much nicer than other "high end" courses in this area excellent greens and great pro shop and snacks highly recommend
