Nice time at Laurel Island
First time playing and was very, very impressed. Fair test with some nice views. Condition was excellent tee to green. Some long walks between holes so carts may be a good idea. Pro shop staff particularly knowledgeable and helpful. Worth the trip!
Wonderful Golf Outing at Bargain rates
Today’s (Nov. 6) visit to Laurel Island links was wonderful. The overcast skies & moderate breeze felt great. Staff was very welcoming & course was well maintained. Greens rolled smooth, true & moderately slow. Recent rain was absorbed & cart use was not restricted. Greens were firm despite recent rain. Club house facilities, pro shop & locker rooms, including their “19th hole” for refreshments were very nice. Our tee time was just past noon & pace of play was not impeded by anyone. Course coolers were filled with cold water on the course to stay hydrated. I’m very thankful course has chosen to participate with Golf Now for several daily tee times. Its a great incentive to play often. Location is very easy to get to from JAX area or SE Georgia - just 10 minutes east of I-95, in Kingsland.
Great shape
Played here for over 12 years and course is in the best shape it has ever been. People are friendly and the pace of play is good. Great value for the price. Second and third holes are very visual looking over the marsh.
Rainy interlude
The staff is wonderful. The starter brought us a cart as we were driving up and gave us a bucket for the driving range. There’s a nice club house restaurant, where you can order lunch for when you finish the front 9. It’s a beautiful island golf course with marsh and water hazards and (for me) magnetic bunkers. The fairways and rough were well cared for and most of the greens were in excellent shape, only two or three balding around the edges. We got caught in a 20-minute downpour, but we waited it out and the remaining seven holes were still quite playable. Warmly recommended place.
Not Bad
Surprisingly in good shape for the time of year and weather conditions. Fairways and greens in good condition with exception of one green. Staff is always friendly which makes you feel right at home. Excellent value.
Great layout
Some really good holes on this course. Layout is great. Always play here when in the Brunswick area. Worth the 30 minute drive and great value for money. Would recommend this course to anyone. Real test from the back tees. Course was a little wet in spots and would like to see the greens a little quicker,
Rude Starter
Starter is so full of himself. He was also dressed like a slob and rude not to mention inconsiderate. No doubt the course is better off without this guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. He also talked very loud on the phone when players were teeing off. I was also told by my playing partner he was chased down because he was playing by himself although the course was practically empty.; was told no 1-somes. FYI i played by myself last week!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Always a great experience
This corse is always so well maintained. The staff is excellent and very welcoming. We can’t wait to play again
Jurgen
I don't have a yardage device so, aside from the 150 yard markers, it was difficult to determine the correct club.
