Lafayette Municipal Golf Course

There was a fivesome a sixsome sevensome in front of me would not let me play through !!!! Golf etiquette is dead.

Great course - well maintained ! Tree lined fairways but wide enough to enjoy ! Tiny greens but smooth bent grass roll great but did I say small? Tucked away in small town but very quaint and nice! Will play again soon

Overall, my group had a good time. The pace was the biggest problem. There were two goups in front of ours that were extremly slow. They course is nice, popular, and in good condition. Could not figure out why a course ranger did not come and encourage them to speed up play or let our group through.

Played 18. The greens and fairways were in good shape. You can tell the front 9 were older holes with small greens and very straightforward. The back nine was more challenging. Great pace of play. Will be back.

Nice club house with shower and changing area.
Course is very well maintained.
Some holes require driver, but others require a shorter club to set up for a right or left dog leg . Those holes really add variety to your round because you get to hit different clubs off the tee.
Greens are just fast enough and larger than they look from your approach shot. The fair ways are plenty wide, some will forgive a right or left miiss but some are only forgiving on one side, so pay attention. Great course!

Slow bent grass greens. Caliber of people playing golf course are not repairing ball marks. Nice layout on back side. Course does not play long with the exception of a couple of holes. Really a par 70.

Short course, small greens, great value, and in great shape

We had a good time. Would be nice if they had sand traps.

Course is in great shape and a lot of fun to play. I especially love the views from every hole. Highly recommend to anyone of any handicap.

Newer club house and friendly staff. Front nine looks older than back nine with small greens and very short distance between holes. Very muni looking, but in good shape. No sand on entire course. Back looks newer with larger greens. Would love to play again some day. Good views of Lookout Mountain to the west.

This is a good placed to play. The greens were very soft and repairing divots is common . It is not a real challanging course for the advanced golfer but for medium players it is enough to make it fun.

The young lady that checked us in was very friendly and welcoming. I recommend this course.

Best kept secret around, fun course to play. It is like playing two different courses at once, the front is very short and tight with tree lined fairways and small greens. The back is more open and bigger greens.

This course, even with GPS was very difficult to find but I am sure glad we did. The few pictures available on-line did not do justice to the course. Some reviews described the front as narrow but this was more visual than anything. Over hanging trees made the front look far more challenging than it is, and the back was amazing. Challenges everywhere and what I would consider very small greens make accuracy a priority. I would come again for the money. My only critique is that there is no return to the clubhouse once you tee-off and there was not a beverage cart. A hotter day would have been very challenging.

The course played very well. Greens and fairways in great shape. Only downfall is the way hole 4 & 5 intertwine with each other. It can slow you down when course is busy.

This is a nice course carved into a very hilly terrain. We were passing through and decided to play a quick game. everything about the course is more than acceptable but nothing will blow you away. For the $33 we pId it was accteptible value. There had been a lot of rain so it was cart path only which was fine.

I liked the new holes and greens very much, course has 9 small turtle back greens, along with a newer 9 holes added, with much bigger and nicer greens. course was in great shape and is very fun to play.
