Great conditions and extremely friendly staff!!
The course featured interested lies on a course with open fairways and picturesque views of Lake Sinclair. The greens were challenging and in great condition. Tee shots had to anticipate the angle of the fairways otherwise you would find your second shots from the extreme sides of most fairways.
The course was exceeded by the friendliness of the club house staff to make the round memorable.
Challenging fun
Had a great time only regret.... could not play it again the next day. definitely a challenge for 8 to 20 handicapper
Milledgeville Country Club
I found the course to be challenging. It was my first time playing there and I was playing alone so there were several shots I didn't know where to aim but it was fun. The greens rolled true and fast.
Fun round
The staff was great and very helpful with some playing information. The fairway are a little rough but the green were great. Can't beat it for the price, I will play it again when I'm in Milledgeville.
Just so so
Semi private course built in mid 60's. Very hilly course. Fairways need a LOT of work. Greens were very nice though. Course and facilities show their age. Staff could not have been nicer or more helpful.
Nice little course
Greens in really good shape. Lots of ups and downs. I enjoyed it. Fun course. Watch out for the really big squirrels. One jumped in my cart, rode a couple of holes, then ran off with my apples.
great day
staff was very friendly, course was in good shape, especially the greens
great value
A great Sunday
My wife and I played this course. We have a place at Lake Sinclair that we have moved to anticipating retirement. We wanted to play the course to see if we might be interested in joining. The course is a great layout with very good greens. They were full of grass and rolled very true. The fairways were plenty wide with dormant grass for the time period. Sand traps were raked and in good playing condition. We do plan to play it again. The Golf Now rate was excellent.
interesting layout
Elevation changes make club selection a key to playing this course well. The layout is challenging and supports wonderful views of Lake Sinclair. I would recommend this course to anyone looking for a entertaining round of golf.
Nice course
Conditions were tough being soaked and windy but enjoyed the course and will be back to play it again in the summer
Challenging greens
This is a fair test for a golfer of any skill level. The main defense of the course is the speed and slopes of the greens. Difficult to 2 putt if you are not in the right location on the green. This is a par 71 course with some of the holes having a slightly strange lay out.
Nice course , very friendly staff,
see above , not many flights played , when we had tee time , which was very convenient , could play through the whole course
Great course for seniors.
Great course for seniors because most of the par fours are less than 400 yards, but course layout is challenging for all players.
Not able to give a fair analysis.
I love the course and the layout. However, the greens were recently aerated and sanded and the night before we played severestorms came through the area. Mother Nature brought down several trees on the course and scattered debris over the course. Needless to say there was much activity and work going on during play which was necessary and understandable. Because of that I am unable to give a fair assessment. But will definitely play this course again.
Good course even after heavy rains
First time here, fun course to play, well maintained greens, some challenge to the drive locations, a few tee boxes mostly sand, a couple of fairways in need of attention, but overall a well maintained course considering heavy rain the week before teeing off. We were a two-some that got stuck behind a group of six golfing together (a course should never allow that), so we were held up quite a bit or we would have rolled through it. Other than that, a good day at MCC.
Good scenery, excellent fast greens, country club mentality
This is a lovely course off the beaten track. The course conditions were very good, with the greens in excepitonal condition and very fast. Only down side was the staff was bit indifferent used to dealing with members instead of guests. Directions to cart area, first tee, snack bar, etc ended up being a "find it yourself" exercise.
Great Course!
I enjoyed how great it was to play here! The course was in GREAT shape. You will need to use every club in your bag. The staff was SUPER friendly. I even considered joining the course and I live an hour and a half away!! I didn't have my sky caddie with me, but the distances seemed to play long for most of the day. Take your "A" game and you can score well. But you also have to be smart. AWESOME EXPERIENCE!
