Always enjoy playing here but today the pace was super slow
Course not recovered from poor aeration job
Course is in good shape with the exception of the greens. The greens were aerated the first part of May and have not recovered. Whoever aerated the greens was grossly incompetent. The greens were somehow aerated where they have lines (grooves) all over them sometimes in a diamond shape. Balls will not roll smoothly and bounce all over the place. Any putt made over 2 foot is probably due to luck as the ball will catch a grove and go offline.
I hope golf course management did not pay the company the messed up their greens.
Aerated Green
Greens had been recently aerated but the rest of the course was in great shape
Some easy holes, some challenging and 1 or 2 you may find interesting or strange. Definitely worth the hour drive from Athens.
If you have played there recently your golf cart most likely died. Highland Walk received 35 new carts on May 11th to tide them over until the new carts arrive.
Sucked
It was a fun course but you were in no danger in making a 1 foot putt.
Is good experience but
Although it is a nice golf course you need to be very patient when playing here because the golf course is very challenging and deceiving at the same time. And on a side note I hope you've done your cardio for the week Because you're gonna walk mount everest while hunting for your balls But all in all it's a very nice course I will play here again
Don’t play here until carts replaced
This was a good golf course until the golf carts quit holding a charge and you have to get 2-3 new carts during your round. This is not acceptable. My husband and I were left stranded by our golf cart on hole 18 which is a huge hill from the time you tee off until you complete the hole at the peak. We had to carry golf bags, drinks etc up the entire hill. Sad thing is we were not even offered a discount on next round of golf, free round of golf, nothing. Obviously, they do not care about their customers nor the hassle they have to endure. I work everyday and have to solve life and death problems… last thing I want to have to do is figure out how I’m going to get my clubs and myself up Mt. Everest on the weekends when I’m trying to relax and enjoy a round of golf. To be honest, if this were a gas powered cart, this wouldn’t be an issue. Another thing the government got their hands into and screwed up! Batteries don’t last!! Fuel does!!
