Great day
Playing golf in December? Yep!!! And no better place than Pinecrest. Other than the pins still in the same place they were a week ago the course was in very good shape. The staff is always cordial and accommodating. The only real issue was the pace was a bit slow. There was a 3 some two groups ahead of us that were very slow. It would have been nice if there was a ranger on the course. But it's 50+ degrees in December so I guess I shouldn't be complaining..
Covid-19 safety
I want to let everyone know that the staff, especially Scott, went out of their way to make sure my round was as safe and enjoyable as possible. The most important thing for me to play any golf course is the option to have my own cart. They made it easy. There is a nominal fee for your own cart, but it was a small price to pay . My family and my safety is paramount. It seems to be a very simple thing to do. Many times this year, I've asked golf courses if they allowed me to have my own cart. Many said no because that was their policy. They didn't seem to care. I will remember those courses, and will never patronize them again. Thank you again Pinecrest. You will have a customer for life.
5 stars to all. Course is fun from 6000 yards for Seniors. Very friendly staff inside the pro shop and starter was very friendly and helpful. Love the layout. Greens very fast and true.
Better than I remembered
Haven’t played at Pinecrest in a long time. I remembered it as not being in that great of shape and being fairly open. This time around, the greens were in great shape and the bunkers were well groomed. The fairways were also in good shape and, while still a bit tight between holes in spots, seemed like some trees had grown in nicely. Given that it is mid-November, I can’t really comment on the rough. The layout is nothing spectacular, but had a good variety to the length of the holes and just enough trouble to make it a challenge. Would definitely go again, if the price is right.
Course was in great shape
The course was in great shape for mid October. Greens were well maintained and true. Minimal leaves on course which made it easy to locate your ball. According to staff, course is open year round weather permitting. Definitely would recommend to play.
Great place great everything!
Don't understand why covid-19 caused our rates to go up.
we suffered losses as well. Don't get me wrong I will support golf but this is not a $50 course.
You are also booking tee times every 8 minutes to make up for losses, but we have to suffer again the backup by waiting.
Your prices last year were in the $30's
Aerated Greens
Only disappointment with course was aerated greens and no indication on website or from pro shop that greens were aerated. I realize it's that time of year (to aerate), but not having it be known is frustrating. Otherwise this was a fun course that I would play again. I'd say it is a little overpriced compared to real value, but not by any sort of egregious amount.
Booked and reserved only to find it was cancelled
Drive all by the way from Chicago only to find that they had canceled my reservation. No apologies, no phone calls, no real real reason.
Didn’t even try to accommodate us with trying to get us on. Poor management!
Slippery when wet
Overall great course, first time playing it with my crew. Conditions were still pretty good even though we played it on the first nice day after a week of rain in the area. Therefore there were obviously still a lot of super wet fairways and very soft greens.
Definitely looking forward to playing the course again in dry conditions.
Staff was very friendly and helpful . Course in great condition .Always a great experience playing Pinecrest .
First time at Pinecrest
This was my first time golfing here. I love the layout and feel of the course. This is about a 5/10 for difficulty for me. I shoot in the 80’s about 7 times a year. This was a great course for me to achieve low 80’s. I will play this course again soon. Weather permitting!
