This course provided a great golf experience
Start to finish our group had a 5 star experience
Excellent pro shop
Stater was engaging
Course was in pristine shape
Cart lady always present
Halfway house lady excellent with large personality(many choices food and drink)
Great value and steady pace for a Saturday
Played this course a while ago and was surprised to find how well the course played -- greens were fast and smooth , fairway was well maintained and the rough was just long enough. Course has enough sand , trees and water to challenge but not overly tough.
It's worth checking out - I plan to play here again.
Asked to leave course!
Played here yesterday and after 17 was asked to leave the course. They accused us of playing extra holes and being there for 5.5. hours. when we tried to explain that they were mistaken and we had just been there 4.25 hrs they would not listen and told us we had to leave. This is not the first time I have had issues there. During the week they have leagues and participants are loud, rude, and unruly. Also if you don't tee off by 1p.m. the course is over run with high school students. Which in itself isn't an issue but does often interrupt play. I will not play this course again. And would recommend you don't unless your will to put up with being thrown out.
Fun Fall round
For a late Fall round of golf we enjoyed our time here. Condition of the course was as expected. The sand traps were much better than average for this area and similar courses. The gas carts were a bit rough but maybe that was from the cooler temps.
Plain and average
About as plain of a course as you will find. Nothing real unique or picturesque here. Of all the courses in the area this would be my last choice to play if not for a hot deal rate on this day. Clubhouse is nice, bar is nice, pro shop starter was very friendly.
Treated poorly
I felt like a second class. They said oh you booked on golf now. We can't give golf now customers a cart this early. Then the starter couldn't move us up when they had a opening because we booked under golf now.
Beautiful and chalanging
confusing ? I thought our tee was paid in full . Pinecrest said they were not paid . They said we paid paid Tee time a booking fee but nothing for the golf fee. nothing was stated on the reservation . These details should be clear .
Nice course for the price
Would like to see some drinking water on the course. Benches would be nice.
Always a solid pick for a good round
I've played Pinecrest three times this year with the first being in March, the second in June, and then this round. All three times the course has been in great shape. Great mix of holes that challenge golfers of all skill levels. I would say it is similar to Crystal Woods in that there are large trees throughout the course that punish wayward tee shots. Many times the only play from the trees is to punch out sideways.
I would consider the signature hole as #11. The 11th hole is just flat out visually intimidating with water in front of and to the left and right of the hole. The hole also has bunkers bordering the right and left of the green. The safe miss is long.
Pace of play was good. We started at 7:20 in the morning. We had the twosome behind us come up and join us for the back 9. Ended up finishing the round in about 3 hours 45 minutes.
I'll definately be back at least one more time this year.
Great deal / Great course
Great value / lot of fun. Fairly quick greens / course is in great shape. Bunkers and fairways were well maintained. Staff personnel at counter, halfway house and at the 19th hole were very nice. Excellent food at the end of the round.
great greens
It's really difficult to find good greens nowadays. You'll find them here! They are firm, which makes it difficult for the idiots who don't fix their ball marks to wreak them.
Excellent shape
The course including greens were in excellent shape and the people were friendly and very helpful will definitely play again
Good Course for the Price
I played this course with my 13 year-old son on Father's Day. The front nine was packed and took more than 2:15, but it opened up on the back and we played in less than 2 hours. The course was in very good shape, and the greens were soft and true. If you're a good player, play from the black tees. It changes a few holes pretty significantly. If you play the blue tees, it's more target golf off quite a fee tees. All par fives are reachable from the blues, and most are from the black. It was a fun course, and we'll definitely go back. Very nice pro shop and friendly staff, but the snack bar was closed when we turned.
Mike Yackley
great course have been playing it for 25yrs Mike is always nice and friendly will always come back!!!
Pinecrest
Nice course layout and well maintained.
Only shortcoming is pace of play
Avg is 5 hrs for 18.
Been that way for years. No sign of relief.
The course
Over all a great golf course, friendly staff, very clean and well groomed.
Fun Golf Course
Wide open course with large, fast greens. Fun to play.
Love this course
Challenging but enjoyable. Nice people. Stay out of the ponds.
