Solid course
Enjoyed the round. Challenging but not overly difficult. Will play there again.
Enjoyable
There’s some challenging fairways to hit but tests your ability which I like. Several of the holes are picturesque plus we were lucky enough to play without being backed up behind other golfers so it made it more enjoyable. Didn’t really interact with the staff other than paying nor use any amenities. The greens were reminiscent of what greens look like in the spring which was puzzling to us but still puttable.
Beautiful Course
We had a nice cool morning and the course to ourselves most of the round. The staff and other golfers were friendly, the course was great, challenging but fun.
Great course with awesome views.
Very pretty course and well kept. Greens and fairways were very good. Awesome views and great for the price! Will be back for sure!
Need to like blind shots
Overall shape of the course is good. Holes are inconsistent. It often feels like you are playing more than one course. Some traditional holes (either straight or doglegs). Other holes too narrow or too wide open. And several holes have completely blind tee shots. Way too easy to lose balls on good, solid shots. That shouldn’t happened - and it did win our foursome on more than one occasion. Pace of play excessively slow - almost 5 hours. This appeared to me mostly due to bunching up the tee times - we had 3 groups of 4 all waiting to go off number 1 within a 10 minute window. Need to manage that better.
Pretty nice course
Pretty nice little budget course!! Greens where really nice. Most of the fairways were pretty nice. Tee boxes where in pretty good shape!! Back 9 is a little tricky on some holes. Driver is not needed learned that the hard way. Would definitely play again. Range balls are cheap as well. Nice scenery as well
The good, bad and ugly.
Let’s start with the good. The course is beautiful and reasonably maintained. The rolling hills of the fairways are surrounded by green, lush mountains with beautiful views. The bentgrass greens were near perfect but rolled a little slow probably due to morning rains. Most tees and fairways were in really good shape.
The bad consisted of empty ice/water coolers on both front and back nines. The coolers were being used as a trash can. Also bad was a five hour round played on a Monday afternoon. The drunk twosome that held everyone up was the worst. They each hit multiple balls until they hit one they liked or decided to move on to the next drink. A Marshall could have corrected the slow play and sent the drunks packing. Bad too was the restaurant being closed when we finished the round at 4:30 pm. Your website shows it open 11:00 am til 8:00 pm. We were looking forward to food and drink overlooking the course. The traps were also unkept.
The ugly part was of a few rough and rugged areas round some tees and a few mountainous fairways. Some spots were clearly ground under repair and that’s understandable. The most ugly was the aforementioned drunk(s) driving the cart between two trucks in the parking lot and scraping the sides of the vehicles. Fortunately, one of the trucks belonged to my playing partner and he was kind enough to let it go since his truck was already scratched and well worn.
Good course
Maybe one of the best public courses near chattanooga. Course is pretty challenging to beginners, and very suitable for bogey players.
Very kind and friendly staff attitude, thanks for welcoming.
A gem of a course
The course was in great shape and it’s very picturesque. The driving range and putting green are great amenities and the grill was nice as well. Worth the time and effort to go
Not a bad place to play for the cost
Over all not a bad place to play. The fairways were not well kept and tee boxes were sandy with weeds. Greens were fast but well kept. Bunkers were over grown with weeds. Recommend at least a map of the holes on the score card. Great service and super friendly folks.
