Fun course
Fun course with big elevation change. Tee boxes are not perfect but we’ll worth the price to play. Will be playing again.
Solid course that is getting better.
Course is coming into its own. The new management company is going a great job. Pace of play was really good for a holiday morning. Greens are in real good shape. Some of the team boxes and parts of the fairways are still a little rough. Couple of holes designs on the front are a little wonky, but overall it’s was a good experience. Staff is super friendly.
Jabdilla
Course layout was fine.course was in good condition.tee boxes were fair on the front and less than on the back.Their didn’t seem to be any hole by hole description on card or any sign.course was a good value and there didn’t appear to be any competition in the area
Great bang for your buck!
It’s not the greatest course you ever played in your life. But it gets the job done is an very decent golf course! There are just a couple of holes on the back 9 that don’t get enough Sun and are quite patchy in the box.
Overall great course
I really like the elevation changes on this course. T-boxes are in bad shape . Greens are well maintained but some are slow and some are fast.
Fine for what is is.
Staff is pretty crazy. The bunkers have all types of weeds growing in them. Holes 10-11 are just a bad layout. 10 especially. Conditions are mixed. Some tee boxes are 5 inch weeds and dirt, some are fine. Driver is needed on about 2 holes from the tips.
Hidden jem
This course is beautiful. Never crowded. Not much on amenities but excellent conditions of the greens. We loved it here.
below or above
This course had one (1) (almost) level fairway. The rest were the most uneven fairways I have ever played. The ball was either below your feet or above your feet, with varying depths. On top of that, the ball was either on a downward slant or an upward slant. The surfaces were good to hit off of, with minimal bare spots. It wore me out trying get in the best position (ie. ball above my feet but on a downward slant). I don't mind elevation changes, and there was a lot of that. It was the extra geometry required to hit mostly small greens that caused my frustration. Overall, the course was in real good shape and the layout was different from about any other I have played recently. 3 or 4 tee boxes were shot, but the rest were good. Only a small amount of bunkers and they have been neglected/abandoned for some reason. This course is not my cup of tea, so to speak. But others might enjoy the roller coaster fairways.
Fun day of golf
Trenton GC is a very good deal l in the Chattanooga area. It was a short 30 min drive from downtown into the hills of GA. The course is not long, but fun to play. The greens and fairways are in very good condition and the hills, and slopes will make you think your way around. As mentioned in other reviews, there are a few teeing areas on the back that are bare and a handful of bunkers that appear abandoned, but they don't really detract from the rest of the course. One or two holes felt gimmicky (#10), but overall fair. The gentleman working the clubhouse was great, very accommodating and helpful. Would play again if in the area.
Not friendly staff
I am physically handicapped so I asked for a flag after showing my handicapped ap permit. The gentleman was very rude and would not help me. He told me no one gets a flag unless they were blind. The course is a mountain course s and I suffer from heart failure which makes it hard for me to walk without giving out of breath
awful staff
Course is fine, nothing spectacular. Staff is beyond horrible.
Was playing a match with a group of 4. Were tied after 18 so we went and played #1 again real quick to try to break a tie. Late in the day, no one was playing the hole and no one was around where we would slow anything down. Teed off and as we were in the fairway an employee came out and asked us to pay for an extra 9 holes or leave. We got in our cart and left without argument (this course is the poster child for why people get turned away from golf). Get to the clubhouse and another employee with approximately 5 teeth comes out and gets in all of our faces yelling/cussing and causing very unnecessary problems to the point where he had to be pulled away from us. If you are thinking about playing this course, go to the next one or a 70 year old with an anger management problem may try to attack you.
Good
Greens were great, however 25% of tee boxes don’t have grass and 85% of them hadn’t been mowed in at least a week. Fairways were clean and greens were big.
Course maintenance could improve
Tee boxes were poor, course could use mowing. Greens were in good shape. Obviously the city has cut back the budget, no sand in the traps,etc..
