Pine Hills Golf Club - 1st time and maybe no 2nd
Positives, staff was very friendly and approachable. The greens were in good shape overall and the course is open to accurate drives. Overall the course was in rough condition. Even in the fairways the grass was sparse with lots of patches that were dirt and sand to hit from. The pin placement was good, although the cups were all pulled upward and crowned at the top, making slow putts extremely hard to drop into the cup.
Pace of play was good. Played 18 holes in 3 1/2 hrs. Overall the signage was difficult to navigate around the course. The scorecard doesn’t have a course hole by hole layout depicted on it. Made the first time here difficult to make good club selection without a range finder. We’ve been playing a different course each week. Play this course aware of its limitations and look for a special price or hot deal before you book. DRH
Good for the price
Greens were great and very fast. Tee boxes were not great at all. Pace of play was horrible. Took 4 hours and 40 minutes for a twosome to play 18 with a cart. I’ve walked 18 in less time. Cool layout. Many holes are blind so you have to drive up to see if you’re clear to hit.
PGA level corse.
Absolutely amazing. Just stepping foot on the corse I can’t believe they don’t have pro level tournaments.
The fairways are silky smooth with perfectly cut grass. The out of bounds are clearly marked. Someone told me it was an old cow pasture but you can’t tell! They must water regularly. The holes are clearly marked. My wife played with me and the red tees had plenty of distance to make up for a handicap. In no way where they placed 5 feet in front of the white tees. Both of the members of the staff were friendly. the cart guy that said the cashier was mentally deficient. So nice of them to hire the under privileged. To be honest I couldn’t even tell.
I just can’t say no….
It’s cheap and it’s crappy. If you go in with appropriate expectations, it’s okay….
Great Day
Greens were in pretty good shape based on history. Overall for the price it was great. Tee boxes could be leveled but the layout of the course is nice and open for us average golfers.
Good course for the price
This is a good course to play for the price. The greens are well maintained but the fairways are lacking in care. I think if the fair ways looked half as good as the greens did this would be an awesome course. I like that there are no out bounds marked for this course. So if your like me and have a bad slice sometimes this is a good course to practice on.
Awesome course!
Their was a course manager who followed me and my friend around for two holes and made some rude remarks but other than that the course in amazing and everyone else was supper friendly and the course is amazing for beginners!
