Crane's Landing at the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort
About
Crane's Landing Golf Club is the centerpiece of Lincolnshire Marriott Resort. Designed by George Fazio, the course winds across 110 acres of preserved woodlands. It is a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary that offers stunning views of the Des Plaines River nearby. At just over 6,300 yards, the golf course is not particularly lengthy but it still offers some formidable challenges. Water is a prominent feature of the course with ponds and a winding river coming into play on 12 holes. The greens are small and raised and the sculpted fairways are tightly lined with mature trees, demanding accuracy off the tee. Crane's Landing Golf Club's back nine is especially difficult thanks to the river, which runs along the entire left side of the 13th hole and also appears on no. 17, the course's longest hole.

Decent layout but course needs some love when it comes to maintenance
The greens are in decent shape but it seems no one knows how to repair a ball mark.
The tee boxes need attention as they are not well maintained and showed be mowed and fertilized.
The fairways were in the best shape of all!
Disappointing maintenance
Greens, fairways, and tee boxes all needed work. Brown patches and worn turf on all.
Pace of play was great! 3 hours...never saw anyone ahead me until 15.
Course layout was good. Greens had a LOT of unrepaired ball marks which may be an indication of the level of player going there.
The price on Golf Now was outstanding
A one and done for me
Review
Tee boxes in terrible shape. Very narrow fairways. Pace was great first 11 holes and got to 12th tee box and had foursome waiting on tee for a group on the green of SEVEN players playing as one group. For $55 Saturday afternoon not terribly priced and got a rain check for back nine but terribly maintained course with no drainage in fairways or by green leaving soggy conditions after days of no rain.
It’s fine
Tee boxes were in rough shape. Greens were ok I guess. They did have some rough patches though.
Great value
Cranes is a great spot. I play here at least 2 times a month because it’s a fantastic value for $55 with a cart on a weekend. Course can get soggy sometimes, but still a better deal then a lot of these overpriced courses in the area. The front is pretty straight forward, but the back is very tricky and can eat you up. Definitely would recommend
