Opened in 1924, Pine Hills Golf Course in Ottawa, Ill. is one of the oldest courses in the area. The course is also distinctive because of its stunning landscape, which is complete with valleys, hills, and bluffs all covered with hundreds of trees. Despite being only a nine-hole layout, it's one of the most formidable rounds of golf you'll find in central Illinois. The design uses many traditional elements but it stands up to modern full-length courses. The terrain provides many of the layout's challenges. Tall pines and giant oak trees line the fairways and the different elevation changes require careful course management, as do the elevated greens. Water also comes into play frequently throughout Pine Hills Golf Course. You're only safe from both trees and water on two holes

pace very slowwww. at one point 17 players on the same par 4 from tee to green.
Great little golf course
Great staff course very nice took extra precautions with covid. Only little problem was a very slow twosome had golfers backup on second nine two holes opened in front of them
Great Value with Great Food!
This course has many mature trees. It is great for families with children that are beginning golfers. They have kids tees. The greens are always in good condition.
If you only have time to play 9 holes
Beautiful 9 hole course. Well maintained , variety of holes uphill on #4 one of the best holes around. Tees for all ages and ability. Great for Ma and Pa and families. Excellent for seniors. Great food and drink area

The course is in excellent condition, the greens are in great shape. The greens have slight undulating surface but putt true.

This course is a great layout, not much trouble with water except on #9 where you have to cross the creek. The greens are in great shape, they roll true with some undulations. Is a fun place to play. It can get a little slow at times but most groups will let you play through.

This course plays tight off of the tee box...great greens...if it was 18 holes, it would be a top course in Illinois!!
