Highlands Golf Course

Although the course was in nice condition, the buckled cart paths are in serious need of redoing. Very painful on the neck and back to ride these things, and riding the fairways wasn't really any easier. Course has some extremely challenging holes. Quite a few blind shots and some painfully long uphill holes.

This course will challenge and reward.The greens were rolling very nicely.

Booked a 9 hole tee time for 4 and it went without a hitch. Good overall conditions. Would definitely play again.

Course shows signs of serious deferred maintenance including degraded tee boxes, weeds in signature landscaping areas around tee box locations, the bill board sign facing I-90 on No. 8 tee looks horrible, the paved cart paths are lumpy in areas with tree root issues and settling, the food order kiosk on No. 9 tee needs to be replaced.

Overall a nice experience and a fine round of golf. Very good greens, but several tee boxes looked like they'd been used for hand grenade target practice, which got frustrating.

The greens were so covered with sand you could not see the grass on almost all of them, it was seriously like putting in a sand trap all day. It would be nice if the staff had mentioned the condition of the greens or possibly posted the condition prior to having people waist their money playing the course. I have played the course many times and find it to be one of the most challenging courses around north Idaho which is why I play it. This day I took a client from out of town out for a round of golf on what I told him was one of my favorite courses and to be quit honest it was embarrassing to say the least. Money back guarantees for non-posted conditions would be a nice to start. I would strongly advise people to call ahead and ask about the condition of any course before booking a tee time... We play here often. The staff when possible let us begin earlier than our tee time. Course is challenging but not frustrating.
Maintenance was happening getting ready for winter and next spring. All good though as it didn't interfere with play.

Loved playing at he Highlands! What a beautiful course and views!!! Loves the professional staff. Received a lot of help and feedback from the pro Mark Poirier. He really is professional and great at what he does. They probably have the best pro shop I have ever seen. Thanks the highlands

When we are in town we like to play here. It's always in good condition and pace of play is usually pretty good too.

The course is a little burnt in spots, overall condition was good. pace of play ok but did get stuck behind a clueless threesome for a few holes. I'll be back...

We play here always while visiting Idaho. There are some areas that are stressed due to heat and little rain. We are happy with this course and there's no reason to go elsewhere.
