Deteriorating course
I’ve been playing here for seven or eight years and since the township took over it’s really deteriorated. So in 2021 we are left with weeds, unmaintained sand traps, poor (if at all) mowing, greens with ant hills and debris all over them, minimal irrigation, and grass on only about half of the tee boxes. A shell of its former self.
This course is worth $20 a round max and not worth more. A half full parking lot on a Sunday afternoon tells me that a lot of people have figured this out before I did. I now know and probably won’t be returning. So many better choices around.
Getting Better
I played this as Antioch Golf Club back in the day, and it used to be really good. Looks like the new owner or whoever is making improvements. They sold allot of memberships to locals so it is busy after 11 am, make sure to get here before that and you will have a great day. Beverage cart is generally around and the bar is well supplied.
Not worth the money
I've played this course a few times before I decided to write this review. The course is not kept up. Most tee boxes are hard as rocks and can barely stick a tee in the box. The greens aren't kept up very well. I have played here a few times and have had veterans of the course who have played 20 years or more say they are disappointed how the course has fallen off. I don't think it's worth the money. Worth playing once but I will not play here again. I hope this helps anyone who reads this. 2021 review
Hit them hard, hit them straight and have the best round of your life.
4/5/21
I’ve played here in the past but this was my 1st time out this year. I was happy to see the course was in much better condition than I’ve experienced in the past and the greens were also in good shape. It was a good round. Keep the updates coming-nice job
Time wasted
I booked via Golfnow with a cart. When I arrived 15 minutes before my tee time I was told that they were out of carts but since I paid ahead of time I would get the next cart that came in. I told the pro shop I’d be on the putting green and just to tell my name.
After four people claimed carts before me I was forced to say something. I was given a cart after missing my tee time by twenty minutes.
People I was grouped with were great, but the people in front of us were awful. Pace of play was pathetic at a 5:05 but that’s not the worst part. The foursome in front of us had an infant in the cart with them and one guy wasn’t wearing a shirt. He was served shirtless by the beverage cart without a word.
I lost a good drive in the middle of the fairway three times. Prov1s. It was inexplicable. The third one we created the hill to find that the group in front had left the green and was picking up our golf balls. They saw us and bolted. We never saw them again. Apparently they took their spoils and left.
Course was fine for the money, but allowing garbage humans to play extremely slow and steak expensive golf balls is inexcusable. If you run out of carts by noon on Sunday, Buy more carts.
Overall not a great experience
I’m not one to normally write reviews but I feel like it needs to be said. Played here for the first time and don’t think I’ll be back. Course was in fair condition for the time of the year but only downside was the lack of tee markers. By lack I mean there weren’t any. I understand that it’s the start of the season so I’m not going to harp on that. What was really frustrating was the pace of play and no starters or rangers on the course monitoring play. Adding to that was the crowd there. Nobody had a lick of etiquette. I’m not asking for everyone to treat it as a country club or we are playing for money. Since play was slow had to wait on teeing off on every hole. The group behind us would Park their carts right behind ours and not give a little space to breath. Was playing with my girlfriend and it was her first time playing 18. She’s golfed before many of times before but felt very rushed due to this. There were countless times where people would drive across our fairways as we were about to hit without getting the attention of us. After the third time it happened I felt as if they wanted to get hit so I didn’t bother to wait for them to clear. Obviously I didn’t hit them but if I happened to I wouldn’t have felt bad. Long story short if you want to golf here and see for yourself by all mean goes for it. For myself I don’t see myself golfing here ever again. It’s sad because I can only imagine of beautiful the course is in the summer.

Got off right away and maybe a 5 or 10 minute wait on about half the holes. The cart paths were in pretty bad shape but the greens and fairways were actually in pretty good shape.. I’ll be going back to play it again.
The worst place
Pace of play horrible, no rangers, hackers all over the place jumping from hole to hole, greens slow, fairways concrete, this place is a Warzone.
Gave Valley Ridge a Try
Greens were good. Fairways good. Sand nicely worked. Some tee boxes good, some chewed up. Cart paths were terrible: standing water, washed out, bumpy. Finding the next hole was difficult sometimes for golfers new to thye course.
Unbelievably Slow
Course was jam packed and terribly slow. It was in decent condition but waited forever in between shots. The group in front of me said that they are always full of people after 11am. I will not be going back.
