Blackberry Oaks Golf Club
About
Blackberry Oaks in Bristol is a public golf course that has been recognized as one of the Chicagoland area's best courses. The course design utilizes the natural beauty and hazards of the landscape including the native wetlands, grassy prairies, and towering stands of mature oaks. Blackberry Creek also meanders through the course. In addition to the natural hazards, a heavy smattering of strategically placed bunkers was also incorporated into the design. Although it can seem intimidating, the golf course isn't overly formidable if you can manage to stay out of the sand and water. The third and 12th holes are two par 4s that are memorable for their water hazards. The third has a lake along either side and the 12th has a green that is almost entirely surrounded by water.

This course is in great shape!
I really enjoy playing at this course, so do my friends and family. Very nice course!
Fun track
Greens in great shape, good layout and nice clubhouse. The only thing missing was sand in the traps, very gravelly and packed hard.
Course is maturing nicely
Played on probably the last nice day of the year and had a wonderful time. The course was in great condition and got a bargain Hot Deal. I used to play this course every Sunday about 20 years ago when it first opened, but am impressed how much the trees have grown and it's a much more mature course. It has plenty of water hazards and a great combination of unique holes. We all agreed that the 18th is the toughest par 4 in the Chicago area. The restaurant bar is nice and the staff was very friendly. The driving range is so so, and the putting green is tiny, but I highly recommend giving this course a try if you haven't played it.
Nice course
Played after a good amount of rain. Had to walk the course but it's not a bad course to walk. For the amount of rain we got the course handled it well. Definitely will be back.
JUST GO PLAY THERE!
Fun and fairly challenging golf course to play. Tees, Fairways, traps and greens all in great shape.
Get a Hot Deal at Golf Now and enjoy this wonderful track.
Nice course
Nicely laid out course with a good number of challenging holes. LOTS of water, nearly every hole. If you can stay in the fairway you will be fine, as the rough was high.
Nice Course, Slow Pace
Overall it was a good day at Bliss. The course was in pretty good shape. They did have quite a few leaves and branches down possibly from the storm the night before. They only downside of the round was the pace. We were waiting on almost every tee box. Other than that, it was a good course and well taken care of.
Fun course
Fun little course, fair amount of water hazards. Quick greens but Bunkers were in somewhat lacking sufficient sand. New carts with built in speakers, GPS and live golf!!
