Cinder Ridge Golf Course

Great layout and the course was in good shape. Looks like it was recently aerated. Love the layout, has dog legs both left and right plus elevation changes. Challenging and fun and to playi.

Staff in pro shop was very rude. They were upset that I booked through golfnow for a cheap price. They would not let us tee off until right at our tee time even though nobody was on the course. If I didn't love to golf so much we would have left the course....lol

While this course is somewwhat of a long ride from the Chicago burbs, it is a very nice course. It's challenging, yet fair. The price is hard to beat.

Had not played here since early 2012 and with the hot and wet weather in Chicago over the past couple months was not sure what to expect. Luckily things had dried out over the past several days and conditions were great. Starter suggested we begin on back 9 as front 9 was a bit sluggish with some slow players. Good idea and our pace was excellent at about 3.5 hours.
The course has lost quite a few trees over the years and is thus not as intimidating as it once was. Has a more open look to it now. Still a fun and challenging layout. Par 3'a #13 and #16 great fun with elevation drop on 13 and full carry over water on 16. Not long but still fun.
Huge tree to the left front of green on 17 is now gone - what a difference that makes!
Had a great day - weather was ideal and a speedy Sunday pace on a really nice course made it all good. To top it off, a 4-inch tap-in birdie on #5 helped make it a terrific round.

I've played this course several years ago, and it's still as good as back then. It's very picturesque, and has some very challenging holes. The greens are in great condition. Would recommend this course to anyone looking for a good challenge to their game.

A good coarse, but the owner and staff are incredibly rude and hostile to the golfers. You would think you were playing Augusta National by the way they act. Won't let you pay for the round until all golfers arrive at the coarse. Poorly marked yardage. Coarse owner drives around insulting players for making small mistakes. Spend your money at a course that will appreciate your business. Will never spend a dime their again.

Played here several times and it can be as challenging as you decide. I like they have several tees to hit from 7000 to 5000 yards, so any skill level can have fun

Bring plenty of balls if the wind is up. Good shots are rewarded while poor shots often result in a penalty. Greens are some of the best around.

There wasn't a wait at the tee box but was told that I should come back 2.5 hours later because I had my kids with me. I have played this course twice a month for the last 6 years but today I had the pleasure of meeting the guy that puts up signs all over the course reminding people to not ball hawk or take more than 5 minutes at the turn. My kids have played there numerous times as well without a complaint or ever holding someone up from getting a round in 4 hours. I used to suggest this place to other golfers who have told me about the owner and how they wouldn't go back but I had not experienced their frustration until today. If my kids are not welcome there I won't be spending my money there again.

The course conditions were very good and the greens were fast . A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

The fairways, greens and rough are all well maintained throughout the course. This course is always well maintained in the past two years that I discovered and played it. There are a few partially blind fairways from the tee areas that are very challenging if you have not played the course before. I suggest you go ahead and check ahead before teeing off as you will likely hit into penalties.

I played the red tees and determined this course is very friendly to the women golfers. Overall a nice experience.

Threesome tee'd off at 4:45pm, finished at 7:45pm. Great course, nice layout, well groomed. Excellent price and pace of play.
