Gorgeous
Played it for the 1st time, after a drought the rain has perculated the course to a fresh green, sand traps are manicured, the greens are firm and fast (flat) the rough is 21/2" tall, but playable, very much scorable, played in 4 hrs in a foursome drivng. I also played from the blue tees, I will be playing this again.
Relaxing!
Hard to believe how secluded it feels in the middle of such a developed area, So many deer, and course is in great shape!
Been awhile
It's probably been 10 years since I last played here. But it was a really fun day with my son and it was only his 5th time on an actual course.
The greens were a tad slow, but rolled very true, were in great shape. Overall very impressed and it's only 15 minutes from the house.
Despite it being short, it's not something you can just come out and bomb and overpower. Many of the greens have some tricky areas surrounding them and if you're out of position, a par can even prove elusive.
I hit 13 of 14 clubs in the bag at one point or another. 8ir was the only outcast, though I guess I should've hit 8 on 8, cuz 9 was just short in the agua.
Wonderful course
Best Park District course I have ever played. The grounds crew definitely deserves to be mentioned as the course was in impeccable shape. Highly recommend this course. What a place to play. The starter as well as the guy checking me in for payment were exceptionally courteous. They all deserve raises.
Surprised
First time playing and it was better than I expected. Good pace of play. Course conditions were better than expected. Well maintained. Will go back and play again.
Good value overall, just a very slow round
Nice course, especially for the price and being a park district course. No range, so you can’t really warm up aside from a very small green that’s used for chipping and putting. It’s pretty short, but the course has a good layout for its length and was in great condition, particularly for how dry it’s been recently. Nice staff too. The pace was really slow and while there were rangers, it didn’t seem to make a difference… about 4 1/2 hours to finish. Obviously you’ll get a lot of new players at tracks like this, so just plan accordingly. Solid overall though and would play it again.
