Turnberry Country Club

Thoroughly enjoyed my round here, played off the back tees at a length of almost 6,900 yards. The par three's were particularly tough from the back. Very tricky greens and you will be hard pressed to find a flat putt anywhere during the round. Has a real country club feel which isn't surprising since it is a country club that has begun accepting a few fee based rounds. I get the impression the course fell on some hard times as its condition has likely deteriorated somewhat. The sand in the traps was very course and there were some areas of the course that had suffered probably from the recent floods. However all in all an enjoyable round.

Hadn't played this course in quite awhile and was pleasantly surprised. A little wet in spots due to the recent rains but overall in excellent condition. Very pretty course with some huge homes nearby, but never close enough to cause issues. They have a beautiful clubhouse and we stopped in the bar for a beer afterwards. Will definitely play it again.

First timer, but got off early to insure a fast pace of play. Greens are slow still but rest of course was excellent. This was a tremendous value and will play again.

Really good conditions this time, great layout and beautiful setting. The couse seems to be draining better than in the past. Only negative today was the new electronic score card/GPS on the carts. It often had us on the wrong hole and when we finished (despite using the "Save" button after every entry) we found that it had lost our scores. Just give us back the old paper scorecards please!

Turnberry used to be a private country club. It fell on hard times and was recently purchased. They seem to be making minor improvements, but need to stick a lot more into the clubhouse and amenities.

Thankfully, the lack of spending on the amenities has not been reflected on the course, which they still do a decent job keeping up. I play this course quite often and very few know about it, and it's easy to get on.

It's nothing special but makes for a great morning out on a regular basis.

The staff did not have a list of people or tee times. People with later tee times were going out earlier. Also, I paid for a cart and they did not have any so we ended up walking and not playing all 18. Very poorly managed but the course was fun.

This could be a great course. It’s in bad shape from tee boxes to greens. No rakes for bunkers and they were in the worse condition of any bunkers I’ve seen. Club house is run down, pace of play is very slow. Save your money..

Lots of very early unexpected golf weather. Course was ready we enjoyed the gift of golf in February! Golf Weather Gods please keep it coming!

Showed up 20 minutes before tee time and was greeted by 15 or so golfers waiting around for a cart. They were backed up at least a hour-hour and a half.. The lady inside was very nice and offered free beer on the house for everyone waiting around for the inconvenience however we tee’d off an hour past our time and couldn’t get 18 in. Also had to ride a three wheeled scooter instead of a cart. It was very slow and I had to peddle up hills and it died on me through 9 holes. It would’ve been fine if the price wasn’t $60 for a round that we couldn’t even finish.

It's not fair to rate a Midwestern course's "conditions" in the middle of November. This is a nice course that we always enjoy playing. Check it out
