Nice course
Course played really well the greens where fast was a enjoyable time on the
Course would play again. Also have a
Driving range for warm up before round
Nice and peaceful
We were there late morning into mid afternoon. By mid afternoon on a Friday, I think we were the only ones playing the back 9. No pace pressure, which is great for is as we only play a few times per year. Have played the course several times this was on the best times. Limiting snack bar but nice selection of drinks.
Traditional Style /Great staff
For February it's in great shape. i like the sand! The traps actually have sand in them which is unusual for Midwest courses this early In the season. It's an old style course with fairways adjacent but that makes recovery from an errant shot easier. A few rough patches on some greens but overall the greens roll true with not too much undulation. Play it. The Pro Shop Manager is a nice guy and we felt welcome which is not always the case when you snag a Hotdeal off Goldniw.
beautiful
The course is very pretty. If you like to see deer, we saw a doe, 2 fawns and a buck. There is a river that runs thru the course which is nice for nature lovers.
A fun coure
Beautiful course. Well taken care of. Would recommend
L O N G round!!!!
My husband and I are pretty good golfers, so we got an 11:00 tee time, thinking the rush of the morning tee times would be pretty much over. Were we ever wrong!!! Ahead of us on the first hole was a fivesome, and there was a twosome and threesome waiting on the tee ahead of us. There was no starter. The groups ahead of us were terrible golfers, had no.golf etiquette, and roamed around each hole like turtles! It was a LONG, LONG day of watching bad golfers with no regard to.anyone else. There was.no ranger on the course to address the situation. We had looked forward to a fun round of golf, but experienced a painfully long round of golf. We do not plan to go back anytime soon.
Early March !
For this time of year the course was in great condition. The greens, especially, were excellent. And the smooth, quiet, zippy carts are a pleasure (although without windscreens).
Great Coondition
Brock the Pro was extremely friendly. The course was in excellent condition for mid December. They had mowed the greens the previous day and they were rolling FAST. This is well worth your time to play this course.
all around good
Great course all around good play one if the best places to play in this area
Not warned about no carts
The course was fun to play, with interesting holes and loads of huge, mature trees. Before booking our tee times (for 3), I called the course the day before to make sure that I wasn't going to drive 60 miles just to encounter some unforeseen issue. They could have told me that, due to having a lot of rain, they were not allowing carts on the course. After driving that far, we went ahead and walked it, but it made for a pretty long, hot day. We will go back on a day that we can ride.
Great time
Even though the course was full, we didn't have to wait on any hole, nor did we hold anyone up. The course is in great shape and the shop staff is very friendly and helpful. I love playing there.
Recommended
Sand traps needs sand. Rough too high for a muni course. Greens in good shape, but duffers not fixing ball marks.
