Great Layout Great Staff
We messed up our tee time and they were able to still squeeze us in, greens were clean and nice, course was well watered and taken care of, pace of play actually worked very well we were about 2 holes ahead of the next group behind us and didnt have to wait at all. Lots of fun
Bunkers mostly mud and rocks. Difficult course to play due to blind shots. Recommend that to play with a member or a frequent player
Great course.
Course was in good shape. Greens had been aerated a few weeks earlier and were healing up. Sand bunkers have seen some work and are in better condition.
Very nice course, poor players
I really like this course, despite the stupidity of hole #11. Bring a lot of balls as you'll lose some in the tall fescue. It's nice that there are 5 tee boxes. You'll likely see some sandhill cranes on the front 9, and maybe a deer on the back. The fairways and greens are very nice, but the quality of golfers there is always questionable. I think every time I've played here, I've seen people drinking beers in the parking lot, so expect loud, drunken behavior. Also expect backups on holes 5,10,11, and 14. No starter, no ranger.
A must play course
It's been two years since I last played and this course is at it's peak of great play. The green are amazing as the pace is a bit slow but the trueness is spot on. If you play the blue or black tees expect to be over par as this course is tough from the tips. Lots of great holes that make you want to come back and play as if you are on either side of the fairways the shots are insanely different. So many blind shots from the tee boxes so a second play will at least give you a chance. This course 30 minutes from LG would play for $140 a round so $40 is a steal for the same type of course. Tons of up and down and each hole is far enough apart that you think you have to think about your shots each time. Hole #11 is nearly impossible to play as it make you lay up and then leaves you with a 220yd carry over weeds and a crick. Again it's in my top 10 places to play so if in the the Lake Geneva area check it out.
Lots of potential
So much to love here, out in the country feel, great layout with lots of elevation variety. It just needs some major maintenance. The club house, especially bathrooms, needs help! The cart paths have little volcanos popping out of them. I think they've got a grubs issue on some fairways and greens. No windshields or GPS on the carts. The tee shots at 15 & 16! If they don't trim those trees soon it's going to be almost impossible to thread the needle. Golf course competition in these parts is fierce , I get that. At some point you have to make the decision to sell it or invest in it ?!? Hope they chose the latter, it's got major potential.
Nice course. Slow Play.
Really need a ranger. Enjoyed the challenging course except for the 5+ hours to complete the round on a nice Saturday.
Course needs help
Traps need sand (rocks) wedge took a beating!
Back nine ridiculous blind shots.
Greens haven't been rolled in
Flow was good ,friendly staff both of them lol
Definitely need to hire help and invest in the place.
Very nice course
Well manicured fairways and fantastic greens. A very fun and challenging course.
OK Course
For the $30 spent it was OK. A generally ok round for a “park district like course” in the country. When I went there was only 1 person working there covering the shop, bar, concessions. Tee boxes were chopped up, greens had aerated holes. If you have a slice or hook you will lose 100 balls, every hole is surrounded by tall weeds and forest. The layout of the course however was very challenging (in a good way) and fun!
