Great local course
You would have to live within 15 minutes of the course to make it worth playing. Layout is fine, general upkeep including fairway and rough conditions was lacking. Greens were above average. Its priced right, would be a gem if in a little better condition, not worth the drive if you dont luve ndar the course.
Value
Challenging course in decent condition for a public course. Great value for the fees charged. Played 18 holes as a foursome in 4 hours.
They need a starter. Chaos
I was a single player and got stuck between two foursomes. They let me through then there was a threesome that didn’t want me to join them so the pace of play was very slow.
Spring golf at Oak Grove
Great course layout and views. Course needs a lot of TLC. Greens and fairways are brown and rough. Inside of the club house is nice but the outside siding and decks are in terrible shape. This course could be turned into a gem.
Unorganized slow
No starter so people just doing what they want single then 4 some then 4 some then single etc. took me ver 5 hours
Great Design
Great design, layout. Beautiful scenery and countryside. Course could be better maintained, especially the sand traps. Overall a great value for a Championship golf course.
Great layout
Great layout, good value, good pace of play. Sand traps could be in better shape. Overall a enjoyable round of golf.
I like to golf
Always a good time to get out and golf. I enjoy this golf course. It was quiet and pace was perfect. Give it it a try folks.
Staff/ Condition/ Amenities
Joe in the golf shop could not have been any nicer. He was courteous and pleasant even though it appeared he was working alone. Thanks Joe. Bunkers need care from storms. Best value hands down.
Challenging course.
Course is in good shape for early spring. Greens are soft and medium speed
Challenging track from blue tees
It’s early April but course in nice shape & greens rolled well !!
Early Spring
The course was in pretty good shape for this early in the year, but the greens have quite a bit of damage from last year, Greens are difficult normally but alot of dead spots. Will take some time to heal.
Very nice course. A bit of a challenge but who doesn’t love an opportunity to grow and develop their game. Will definitely be coming here more often!
Challenging course
This is a great course in the Lake Geneva area. If you aren’t a great golfer, bring a lot of balls - you are going to need them. Not a single house or road on the course - much appreciated. Would give a 5 out of 5 if the person checking you in wasn’t so irritable - every time I have been there.
Past it’s prime?
Use to be a hidden gem in the area. Course has seen better days. And rounds there have now turned into 4.5-5 hour death marches.
Fathers day letdown
drove 35 miles to play with my son on Father's day and I have to say it was a letdown. Pace of play was ridiculously slow, no starter at 1st tee, and could they pay a bit of attention to the course? Bunkers were crap, basically mud pits, greens were iffy at best. Oh well, ya live and learn. Not to return here..
