Wolves Crossing Golf Club
About
Wolves Crossing Golf Club in Jerseyville sits just 45 minutes north of St. Louis. The course has a traditional links-style layout that sprawls across a wide-open, gently rolling landscape. There are some challenging holes but the course is known for being more forgiving than the other formidable golf courses in the area. The layout is relatively short at just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, a manageable length for any skill level, even beginners. What the golf course lacks in length it more than makes up for in water. Golfers will face water hazards coming into play on several holes. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greens. In addition to the course, there is also a driving range and putting green available at Wolves Crossing Golf Club.

The course is in great shape
Have played the course many time this year what a great value for the $$$$ thanks golf now
Convenient course BUT
Been playing this course for 25 years, still advertised as a 18 hole course and hate that they closed the back nine. Course is pretty easy, fairways are not the greatest. Greens were in decent shape. Clubhouse is not staffed so you put money in envelope and pay that way, which is not bad but sometimes owner will come find you on the course and stop you to make sure you paid. Staff the clubhouse if you don't trust the honor system.
Nice course
Great little 9 hole course. The greens and the approach areas are well maintained. It's not a difficult course, but fun to play. There's no pro shop. Carts are all in good condition.
It’s a scam
It is not a 18 hole course. It’s 9 holes and they charge 15 dollars for cart fees which is more than I paid for my round of gold that is not even a round due to the course being 9 holes. The pro shop is closed, some guy told me that the owner is often not in the clubhouse.
Definitely a disappointing experience. Would not recommend this place.

Thank you for playing Wolves Crossing Golf Club. We hope to see you again soon.
Disappointed
Disappointed to see the back nine closed down; now a nine hole course. Fairways/greens mix with grass and weeds.
Thank you for reviewing the course. Let us first start by apologizing for the poor experience you had during your visit. Please know that the current condition is by no means the standard we strive to achieve, and we are working towards getting things up to par. Thank you for playing Wolves Crossing Golf Club. We hope to see you again soon.
Only 9 holes
Its an ok course but if I would have known to play 18 holes i would have to play the 9 holes twice i would have picked another course
A break from the city course we play in St. Louis.
Our drive to Wolves Crossing was approx. 1 hr-20 min. We were greeted by a friendly and very helpful person at check-in. He took the time to verbally walk us through the course layout hole by hole,. Very few golfers on the course so pace was not a problem. Tee boxes, fairways and greens in very good shape. Balls in the rough were tough to find due to length of grass and presence of clover. However we were extremely surprised at the overall condition of the course. We loved playing without hearing traffic, planes, etc. Very relaxing. Well worth the drive. We will return soon.
Hello, thank you for taking the time to review Wolves Crossing Golf Club. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give us another try in the near future.
Wolves Crossing
Excellent course and with the wind it was very challenging
Wolves Crossing
We had a great time. Course was in excellent shape and was quite challenging
For Sale and it shows it.
Course conditions were really not good. The rough was too long. We had to look for balls just barely off the fairways many times. The fairways are very narrow for a wide open layout and they were also shot long. The greens were slow but looked nice when cut. It is not really the fault of the two maintenance guys. They need more staff.
The opening hole is weak and numbers 9 and 18 are simply punitive. The other 15 holes were fine but suffer because of lack of maintenance.
The greens were in excellent condition.
I totally enjoyed playing Wolves Crossing in Jerseyville IL.
Country golf course with corn field around
This course good beginner or highs cap play to enjoy the shot and open field
well worth the trip to Jerseyville
course was still in good shape for late August. Staff always takes good care of us,
great deal
only complaint is the staff was nowhere to be found at the turn
Nice community golf courrse
I am a semi-regular player at Wolves. The course is great for a beginner like me and the pace everyone plays at is fast. I have played other courses in the area and feel that some of those courses drag a round out to the point where the game becomes frustrating. The staff is friendly and the course is in good shape for the time of year. I think Wolves provides a variety of challenges for any golfer, beginner to advanced, and is a true value in the pricing. I would recommend this course to anyone
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We appreciate your loyalty over the past 25 years and want to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by the closure of the back nine. We value your feedback and will take it into consideration to improve our course and services in the future.
