Greens roll well.
Need to put some sand in some of the green side bunkers. The are like hitting a rock below the 1/4 inch of sand.
Inwood Course Assessment
Holes 12, 13, and 14 kind of ran together. Greens and Fairways were extraordinarily dry.
Inwood golf course
It was okay the course was alright. You have to know your distances out there and avoid the trouble. Be smart out there too.
Great course for the money
Course was in great condition other than the sand traps and the rough were pretty hard surfaces.
Great Day in Joliet
Had a great round at Inwood on a great day. Staff was, as always, friendly and well prepared.
Very nice course
What a nice experience for a first time playing this course. Even with 30 mph winds it was nice. And the pin placement on 16. WOW! That was just not right.
Inwood Golf
Beautiful established course that I have played at least once a year for 30 years. Course was in great shape. Fairways well established, no burned areas or bald spots. Greens cut and ball was rolling well and not bouncing. Fairway traps need some maintenance as a few, especially on hole #8 need sand. Had a very enjoyable day and will be back again.
Small and Moderate
Small greens and course in overall moderate condition! OK value for price! Most traps are hard with rocks.
Good Value, Nice course
The Joliet area has been hit with a lot of rain and flooding the last couple of weeks. On Father's Day to my surprise Inwood fairways and greens were very playable. The rough had some standing water, but it was nice to be able to get out and play.
Not Great
Drastically overpriced for a Park District Course in such bad condition at 6:00, pace of play was slow, bar woman was nice, pro shop guy was ordering pizza while talking to me, overall probably won't play here for free.
Nice Public Course
Great course with a lot of fun holes. Challenging where it needs to be but great for golfers of any skill level. Probably not worth the money unless you are a resident or can find a golfnow deal. Bunkers aren't in the best shape but fairways are greens are nice. Rough is a little long. Front 9 is pretty standard. Fun island green hole. Nice par 3s. Back nine is beautiful, fun and challenging. Overall, a good looking course that I would most definetly suggest to a friend.
Fairways needed work
Great,The course is worth the trip, people are friendly too
Great value in Joliet
This is a nice par 70 course in Joliet. The sand is not the softest ever but it was in good shape. The greens were very good but not perfect. What stood out is how friendly the staff was out on the course. One helped me look for my ball on one occasion and another happily returned a club I had left at the previous hole.
great value
the course had a starter who gave me a choice of playing paired up or going solo there was a walking foursome ahead of me, I ended up pairing up with a threesome, the course is in great shape for this time of year. great pace of play. golf carts are in very decent shape and clean. the fairways were well groomed and hard with a lot of roll. the greens were fast and challenging.staff was friendly and food was decent washrooms were very clean. and i will play again soon.
Great Deal
Pretty decent challenge from the blue tees. The greens were in excellent condition.
Solid Muni Course
Pretty decent course. I played at 5:30 AM so it was wide open and I was done in 2 hours. Not a bad layout. Nice variety of holes. Greens in good shape. Rest of the course was in average condition. Nice range. For a municipal course, this is all you want/need. It was nothing amazing, but I wouldn't hesitate to play it again.
Watch out for the 2nd hole?
The course was very well laid out not much just straight away. There were plenty of doglegs that snuck up on you. The 2nd hole was an island green that you can't even see I liked it but wish I knew it was there. Will be back soon price was good for course.
