Great public course
The course is always in very good shape. Consistent greens. A great public course. No par 5's but a great little course.
Love it
Gave it 4 stars bc it has no par 5s and it's only a par 68 course. With that being said however, it's always pristine, the pins can be extremely challenging, and it's great for a casual round.
Nothing Tricky Here
First time playing here. Got a great deal through GolfNow at $17 for 18 with a cart; early start. Surprised how well the golf course is maintained. Fairways were great and the greens were in excellent shape. the only drawback are most of the holes are just straight. You do have some elevation changes, a couple dog legs and a couple holes where water (small creeks) come into play; so the layout isn't too challenging. Fairways are fairly wide open though the course has plenty of trees down the sides to make sure you hit your shot straight. Overall it was fun! If you can play here for $30 and under, very well worth it.
Joliet Woodruff
Short but can be challenging. A great value, I have paid as little as $17 for a round here through GOLF NOW.
Initially starter allowed a group of 6 off in front of us on a Saturday when course was very busy. I did bring it to his attention and he said, "they were all friends so he wanted to keep them together." As it turned out, this did not impact pace of play as 2 broke away from group after 3 holes and the remaining 4 played best ball.
Beginners
Everyone is always nice and helpful. It was a nice cool day. Back 9 was challenging but we had fun and enjoyed ourselves.
Course can really be a challenge
The front 9 are a great warmup for the more difficult back nine. Definitely recommend taking a break after 9 to prepare yourself for the next 9
95 degrees, all water coolers empty, never saw a beverage cart. Pace of play very slow due to one group holding up the course. Informed the starter at the turn, no action taken.
Good shape/decent price
Price was fair. Coarse was in better shape than years past. Planning on booking again when the price right
Fun course
Fun course for the deal I got! Tucked in the woods there are some interesting holes especially on the back 9. Great beginner course
Good course for the money
For a golfer who hardly get to get out this course is great. Challenging but not defeating. I've played this course a few times over the years and I enjoy it every time.
Short and sweet
Wonderful facility...front nine sets you up for a tough and challenging back nine. Great place for seniors to play!
A local gem
Great everyman course where you get to make all the shots. Always tough pin placements sharpen your putting touch!
Great course for beginners and high handicappers
Taking into consideration the course length and the amount of land, the course layout is very fun, especially the back 9. The greens were much firmer and faster than anticipated. It was very difficult to hold the greens on the approach even with a wedge, which was not enjoyable. But all things considered, we were very pleased with the course. Played midday with my Father-in-law, who is a beginner, so this course was right up his alley. Definitely recommended for beginners and high handicappers, or for someone looking for a fast, cheap, late afternoon round.
