Enjoyed the round other than the pace was very slow

As a twosome, my partner checked in first and paid the greens fee and cart fee for both of us. When I went to check in as the second person for our 11:24am tee time, the proshop employee charged me for my portion a second time, having no awareness of our tee time being paid for in full already. When I went back in to be refunded they credited my credit card back but told me that the credit won't show up for 3-5 days. This system needs to be improved immensely. It was the pro-shop's mistake initially and now I have to wait several days to be refunded my money.

On paper, this course looks likes no brainier. But this little gem offers fun and a challenge for all levels.

Staff is very friendly. There was an outing that just finished and was back up off the 1st tee. They let me start on back 9 and was able to get a round of golf in at a nice course without taking all afternoon.

These are the Best greens I've seen in awhile played nicely

Fairways were in good shape greens needed to be cut, to long and bumpy. Pace of play was very slow had to play behind a golf outing. Didn't think it was fair to subject other golfers to experience that kind of slow play.

Shorter course that's in real nice condition. Fair price and a lot of fun to play.

Grabbed an early morning time and got out even earlier. Twosome in front let me through. Front 9 are pretty basic straight holes. If you hit straight you can go low. Back is a little more hilly and has some dog legs. I liked the back better than the front. Standing water on some holes on the back, but we've had a lot of rain. Short course at par 68 and no par 5's, but still fun and challenging course. I'll be back.

The greens were in great shape, the best i've ever seen since i started playing this course 5 yrs ago. The pace of place was decent. Overall its a great short course for a quick challenging 18. I booked through golfnow.com so the rate of 25 bucks was perfect for this course on a saturday morning at 11:45am!

The staff in the Pro shop, cafeteria were all nice and welcoming....EXCEPT for the STARTER!
I don't know what his problem was but he insisted that the guy I was paired up with and I take one cart. We didn't see any shortage of carts because the place wasn't so busy after all. I have back problems so it is important for me to anticipate the bumps when I drive.
The course was nice in the front-9 but was horrible in the back-9. Probably because of poor drainage design. There were so many puddles and muddy patches everywhere. The greens were nice and true.
But all in all, I wouldn't come back to play here in a couple of years. Slightly unpleasant golfing experience.

Excellent course. For all the rain this area has been getting I was worried the course would be soaked. But they did a great job of managing everything!

The course is fairly straight forward, especially the front 9. Par 68 with no par 5's to be found. The four par 3's are not simple wedge or 9-iron shots, though, and are fairly lengthy from any of the tee boxes - which adds a bit of challenge to a low score here. Front 9 is basically a straight, back and forth layout - downhill on hole, uphill hole 2, etc. Back 9 has some interesting and picturesque holes, especially nos. 11 (major dogleg) and 12 (elevated walk-up tees to a 175+ yard par 3) - which has to be the "signature" hole if the term existed back in 1926 when the course was built. Anyway, conditions were good - rough was long but not "pro" length. Fairways were solid and green. Greens were in good shape - back 9 had some greens that were a bit slower than the rest. Pace was excellent - no backups anywhere. All-in-all an excellent value, especially if you get a GolfNow hot deal.

Very unusual course. If you are looking to shake things up a bit this a great option. A little bit expensive if your not a resident of Joliet but it's easy to find hot deals on golf now. Pace of play was very good. Staff was extremely friendly. The course was in decent condition. Nice greens but otherwise everything was just fair. Nothing bad though. You can tell the facilities are old. Course is short and tight with a lot of trees and some pretty extreme doglegs. Hard to hit driver off tee. Overall, great way to shake things up if you can find s round at the right price.

Solid course plays tougher than it looks nice course though

Course was in good shape. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We played 18 in 3 hours!

It's a simple course that has a good pace of play. The fairways are kept in good condition but the greens are a little beat up from the winter still.

Overall, the staff are friendly and you can get 18 holes in under 4 hours.

Good course for the value that you pay.

Shape of course good, pace awful. Way to many older twosome that slow the pace to a 5-10 minutes wait.

Front nine played a little easy, and the first couple tee boxes were next to the previous green sooooo early season golfers watch for wild chips headed your way! Other than that, the back nine was beautiful. rolling stream following you from hole to hole, well built homes nestled into the course nicely…fun back nine to play. I paid 15 bucks to ride 18, great deal for the play. I will play here again.

Got a great deal, the course was excellent especially since there was heavy rain the night before. Front nine is easier than the back nine. All in all a great day on the course.
