Senica's Oak Ridge Golf Club
About
Senica's Oak Ridge Golf Club sprawls across gently rolling terrain that was used to guide the design. The resulting layout blends in almost seamlessly with the natural landscape. The golf course is routed through forests of mature oak trees and around five sparkling lakes. The back nine plays along a meandering creek. Water hazards come into play on a total of 13 holes and there are nearly 50 bunkers strategically placed throughout. The golf course demands a fair amount of accuracy but it's not overly punishing if you're errant. The final hole plays from an elevated tee, requiring a carry over the creek in order to reach the green. In addition to the golf course, Oak Ridge also offers a practice facility with a driving range, two practice greens, and a practice bunker.

Closing Time 7:00pm
I have never been sold 18 holes and a cart for a 4:50 pm tee time and to show up and be told that we have to have the carts turned in by 7:00 pm. There was no disclaimer when I made the GolfNow purchase. Not right!
Great track with some impatient locals
Played here with 2 other guys late on a Friday afternoon. The course is wonderful with the front 9 resembling a typical Illinois farmland course and the back 9 being heavily wooded with great elevation changes and scenic vistas. Course conditions were great other than the fact that the greens were rolling pretty slow. We played 18 in 3 hours and 20 minutes so it was a nice quicker round. However, we had a group of 2 guys right on us for the entire back 9. Additionally, we had a group of 4 walkers immediately in front of us so there was nothing we could do and the guys never got close enough for us to ask them if they wanted to play through. However, when we were on 18 fairway the guys behind us sped down the hill towards us and yelled a clearly disingenuous “Great job fellas” without stopping and sped up the hill towards the clubhouse without playing the final hole. A very odd and confusing ending for what was otherwise a great day at a great course.
Challenge!
Very impressed with the greens on this course! Soft, smooth, and roll nicely! Plenty of bunkers surround the greens! Many challenges on the greens themselves causing the average golfer to really pay attention to the line! A great course that will challenge all who play it. This course is not for a beginner!
Excellent course
Beautiful.course fun to play. To bad no food service on Sunday aft.
Very nice course !
even though the area hasn't had much rain the course was not dried out due to watering ! Very challenging layout the front nine very different from the back nine so expect a little higher score on the back !
This course has grown up !
Haven't played there for years & I forgot how nice it really is ! Played TPC Dee Run a few days before this course & I would say Senica's was just as good if not better ! Will be back to play here again before the season is done !
beautiful senic course
I love this course because every hole is completely different and the greens are true and fast, but fair. The clubhouse is nice and the food is above average. I drive over an hour to get there but it's well worth it. Enjoy!!!!!!
Graet course
Beautiful course great conditions a wonderful place to play.
Oak Ridge
I am from the area and play Oak Ridge quite often. One of my favorite courses. Great par 3s, beautiful water hazards, friendly staff. I usually end up running into some fun wildlife also. Highly recommend. But do not come on a holiday. It's near a state park and a few resorts and the pace of play can get very slow.
Great course
The best course in the Illinois Valley; challenging yet fair golf course. Back nine has some beautiful holes, and the course was in pristine condition. Food in the restaurant is top notch; the only complaint is there was no marshal to pick up the pace of play. I would recommend this course to anyone.
Great Course
Oak Ridge is a great course. Pace of play seems to move well. I always enjoy playing there.
Awesome Day, Great Course!
The course is in great shape. Play was very slow as there was a group of 20 playing in front of me. The challenge is there is no ranger to keep pace of play going within reason. The round lasted almost 5 hours. This is not typical, usually a 3.5 hour round.
Try this one
Fairways are better than the greens at Chapel Hill. Greens are some of the best around.
oak ridge
nice course in good condition, bent grass from tee to green, bunkers are currently under repair
Semi as Oak Ridge
Good layout, variety of holes. Very accommodating staff. Local knowledge important as some of the greens were tough to read. Definitely will return.
