Senica's Oak Ridge Golf Club
About
Senica's Oak Ridge Golf Club sprawls across gently rolling terrain that was used to guide the design. The resulting layout blends in almost seamlessly with the natural landscape. The golf course is routed through forests of mature oak trees and around five sparkling lakes. The back nine plays along a meandering creek. Water hazards come into play on a total of 13 holes and there are nearly 50 bunkers strategically placed throughout. The golf course demands a fair amount of accuracy but it's not overly punishing if you're errant. The final hole plays from an elevated tee, requiring a carry over the creek in order to reach the green. In addition to the golf course, Oak Ridge also offers a practice facility with a driving range, two practice greens, and a practice bunker.

Wet day fun !
Had a nice round. Course was wet ( cart path only) after the rain we got the day before. The staff was out mowing and the greens were in very good condition. Some of the fairways were a bit soggy , but not to bad as most of the course draines well.
This the course play a lot , you should consider playing here if you can.
Not bad But nothing to brag about
Nice lay out sand traps need work. If you get in a trap watch for rocks. For the price I thought I would get a little more of a challenge. I will say there are some very pictures holes. I will play again on the GolfNow HotDeals.
Great course
The greens are in great shape. Fairways are lush. Honestly, this is now one of my favorite courses. I got a great deal that no other course in central Illinois can compare with.
Best of LaSalle County
Really fine course draws heavy crowds because of playability, attention to detail, friendliness, and great restaurant.
Must play if you are in Starved rock area
Excellent condition. Course starts out flat and gradually winds its way through ravines on the back 9. Some very scenic holes on the back 9. Will be back and would recommend this course.
Well maintained.
They need to remind golfer's etiquette. Not only on this course but other courses to. Other than that all was good.
Course has very nice greens
Very nice quick greens. Good pace though let 4 some start on back as we turned front.
Great course
Great course. Some very unique holes. Greens are fast but roll true. There are not too many straight putts. Beautiful clubhouse.
Great conditions
This course was in great condition. Played on a Sunday afternoon, no one was out there. Played in 3 1/2 hours. A hidden gem in the country.
Slow paced
Course in good shape. Lots of people that wouldn't let us play through. Bottle necked the whole round. Left after 12th hole because 3 groups in front of us waiting to tee off on the 13th.
Great Condition!
Staff friendly and course was in great shape.
Fairways and greens were perfect!
Fun Day!
Excellent Course. I would recommend checking this one out!
an excellent maintained golf course
fairways and greens are food and the price of the course was phenomenal
This course was in good shape after a full week of rain.
After a full week of rain it was is great shape. Greens were soft of course. The place is always busy but still move at a good pace. It was sunny 80 lakes were full and creeks were flowing beautiful!
well groomed
This is one if my favorites, absolutely gorgeous course.
Good course, bad day
Greens were being aerated, and we had to play the back nine twice. We didn't find out until we started on the front nine, once at the start and again after the first (back) nine. We had bets with carries going, and the natives got restless (our foursome). Twice we had to stop playing a hole before finishing, and certain players were in position to win had we been able to finish. There were on-course communication problems with this situation, involving the maintenance workers. One said something to the effect that nobody tells anyone anything around here. Tempers got a bit raised by some of us, which doesn't make for a good day.
:)
But anyway, it is a challenging fun course. It is a first shot golf course for sure! If you are playing the correct tees, you cannot just hit driver on every hole. If someone knows out how to play the 12th, please let me know!!! :)
We spent a lot of time looking for balls in the rough. But it has been very rainy. In normal times, I would hope they keep the rough lower than it was, because the course has enough defenses otherwise.
For Chicagoland golfers, I would say this course is Big Run Lite. Not as difficult but the same type of terrain and shot values. We plan to go again.
Great value course
Great course, great condition. Have golfed here a few times and recommend it highly.
Good Course for the area
Holes 1 through 13 are open and you have room for misses. The last 5 holes are played among mature Oak Trees and miss areas get smaller. Wish the whole course was like that. Greens were fast. Pro shop guy was very friendly and since this was my first time gave me a yardage book.
I will go back.
good bang for buck
nice course for the money, very well maintained and great clubhouse, everybody from pro to fellow players were incredibly nice, would play again
Very nice course and challenging
The course was in great condition and I had a lot of fun playing there. Some holds were very tight and narrow so you have to hit it straight. It's a beautiful course especially for the price.
